The same was said about VHS players, DVD players, flat screen TVs/monitors, cell phones, digital cameras etc etc etc. It’s the _first gen_, of course it’s going to be expensive.

This little insignificant planet of ours is pretty neat.

Isn’t thin and loosely packed material called “kindling” when it comes to making fire?

Not counting the sudden and abrupt stop at the bottom of course. My point was that even at that speed you can’t really see that the head snaps forward or anything like that.

Blackout? That’s a bit exaggerated I think. Watch it at 0.25x speed, doesn’t look very violent at all.

“They see Rick furiously hacking through the undead instead of dealing with his emotions” - You’re right, this seems more like the time to sit down and have a little bit of a therapy session. The zombie horde outside can wait until we’ve had a good cry.

Unlike the Jez community that let’s all the Gawker people out of the grey?

I’m glad I wont be working support for these printers.... I have engineers that have trouble grasping the simplest of concepts when it comes to 3d printers. I feel for the people who are going to have to try and help a clueless dad/mom fix their kid’s printer.

They didn’t build it, it says within the first few seconds of the video that they loaded up a _commercial_ quad with sensors. It then says that they tested the top speed it could achieve with those sensors on board, while controlled by a human. THEN it shows autonomous, slow, flight.

I love sci-fi stuff and I’ve been really struggling getting through this show. I think I’ve watched the first 5-6 eps, but none in a single sitting. I still don’t really know what the plot is. I’m not sure I’ll be able to finish it. Don’t know why, but it’s just not clicking with me at all and I’m really trying to

Great, am I gonna have to keep my hand on the volume knob again and continuously adjust it while I watch? FUCK the sound design in Hannibal...

Going a bit overboard on the gifs are we?

That’s a very naive way of looking at the world. Just one small example, ATMs and the now pretty sophisticated skimmers that are used on them.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who finds that utterly confusing. It’s like Russian roulette.

Not games, videos (in this particular case).

Malcolm McDowell’s smile still gets to me to this day. That movie affected me deep when I saw it the first time. It’s a god damned masterpiece.

At 1:52 I believe. The top image of the post has a bright streak, that’s where it is. It’s not all that spectacular, like a puff of smoke. (probably a lot more spectacular if you’d been there)

Why come up with new stories when you can just dig up the old ones?
