Germany had all but stopped celebrating by the 7th goal. That’s the point.

Good point. Without knowing the players, I assumed she was one of the players who had never scored in the world cup. She is rightfully taking shit for this and hopefully will realize it and make some adjustment.

Her celebration was the only one out of bounds imo. I don’t even get what that was supposed to be, and she was the only goal scorer who didn’t embrace a nearby teammate after scoring a goal and instead ran to the sidelines to show off as an individual. 

God, people like you are the first ones whining about bad referee calls and unfair play the moment their team loses.

According to multiple commentators, it apparently shows more respect to the losing team for the winning team to keep playing at their fullest until the end of the match. I guess noticeably pulling back can be a form of insult. Plus there’s the whole goal differential thing as previously mentioned.

The celebration after the 9th goal was an absolute joke.  I don’t even believe that she was that excited about the goal.  I would have laughed my ass off if she pulled a Bill Grammatica and hurt herself celebrating a meaningless goal.
