What would you suggest though? Dany doesn’t have any great personal connection with any other characters really save for Jon, who we all know has plot armor, and let’s be real: Missandei is about as close to a flat character as you can get without being totally flat. She’s a secondary character in a story that’s full

I don’t see what her skin color has to do with her dying, especially on Game of Thrones of all shows, which, perhaps more than any other show, doesn’t seem to discriminate between who lives and dies. Does the plot progress differently if she was white? What changes?

Congrats, you read that ridiculous Vox article.

HBO is letting the show runners dictate how long the shows goes on for and when seasons are released?  The show runners are working with a lacking budget because they want to?

The Bronn thing bothered me for sure.  Other than “A Lannister always pays his debts”, which is still pretty flimsy in this situation, there’s literally no reason for Tyrion/Jaime to hold up their end.  He evens leave all happy about the “deal” they’ve struck, then cut to Jaime and Tyrion giving each other knowing

And while it’s certainly valid to have criticisms of the writing, the first and most prominent blame should always be pointed towards HBO. There’s clearly a couple of (normal-length) seasons worth of stuff to be wrapped up and handled with time and care, but obviously their bean counters crunched the numbers and

Did I miss how Tyrion, Greyworm, et. al. got back to safety after they washed up on shore?  I assumed they were captured at that point, but somehow there were no consequences to them being stranded right near King’s Landing with (seemingly) no transportation.

Sums up my thoughts exactly. If they would’ve just moved that scene to a neutral site it would’ve made it a lot more believable. Just have everyone show up with an equal number of soldiers, the dragon on one side, and a few ballistas on the other.

That whole scene was just arranged poorly in my opinion. I kind of understand their logic of “We’ll offer her a chance to surrender and when she says no, she’ll look bad”, but the setting is all wrong. They bring like 30 soldiers to the wall of King’s Landing, and Dany goes with them??? Why not a more neutral

I’m really looking forward to it as well and hope they do it justice and don’t hold back, and the trailer honestly gave me confidence in the project.  I actually hated the last volume of the books and just disagree with the ending in general, but other than that I loved every second of it and kind of want to re-read

Holy crap there’s going to be a The Boys show???

Eh, Jim Carrey’s funny.  Maybe not here but.....

Not at all, just a simple fact that a large number of people are complaining. Not all people, not most, but this isn’t just a person here and there, which I would think would be apparent to anyone following the “story”. I mean, you are literally commenting underneath an entire article written for a very popular blog

I can’t speak for other people, but my problem was screwed up blacks any time there was a dark horizon shot or dark background behind characters.  I have a completely capable TV that doesn’t have issues with any other show.  I’m inclined to think it was the stream?  Obviously everyone didn’t have this problem.

Yeah it’s just outliers right?  It’s not like a ton of people across the internet had problems and didn’t know that GoT is the only show you apparently have to fine-tune your TV’s settings so that it doesn’t look like shit.  Sure.

Try some other shows. I think a lot of what you’re describing (which I experienced too) was due to the stream. I’ve never had a problem other than watching GoT, specifically this season’s episodes in scenes where it’s dark as hell.  The only time I’ve ever seen pixellation/rainbow effect/what have you that bad was

People in the comments comparing an episode of GoT to Endgame because............they came out within a few days of each other?  What?

A trope isn’t necessarily “anything that’s been done before in the history of entertainment made by humans”. If they went crazy with creativity and originality, you would’ve complained that characters’ actions and motivations made no sense. I definitely had some questions and complaints, but there’s no winning with

I guess it depends on how many open-world and/or zombie games you yourself have played.

I’ll never understand why Marvel movies starting requiring 30+ jokes/gags in them, which started with Age of Ultron, effectively downgrading the movie for me. It’s like after Guardians was a hit they felt the need to make every movie like that.  I suppose people like it though.
