I actually rank Thor about the same but basically flip flop the reasons:  I thought the otherworldly stuff was cool and interesting, and when Thor came to earth I just thought it was a lazy fish out of water-type story.  Agreed on the generic final boss.

I mostly agree but this is the problem when a) the plot has so many threads it’s almost impossible to count and b) you have a network that just wants to wrap things up with as little money spent as possible. Since it went away from the books it’s had it’s problems, but the writers were also trying to clean up an

I thought it was all right. I didn’t think they’d take a whole episode to kind of get everyone “in their places”. I actually disagree about Jon riding the dragon for that reason. It was a whimsical, somewhat long scene in an episode where I think everyone was under the impression that we were going to start moving at

I don’t know about jaw-dropping, but I’m interested to see and hear more. Sequence at the beginning with Rey was cool, and the rest was intriguing.

May need to start at convincing them not to proactively kill it entirely.

If possible maybe you could elaborate a little on the downsides to doing this. There are possibilities of losing your save files, etc. I’m sure it’s in the linked materials but the article makes it seem cut and dry (dried?) which it isn’t at the moment.

I think you’re completely twisting it around, unless you completely missed the drama surrounding the live action GitS movie and/or the Netflix Death Note live action. The loudest complaints in those instances weren’t people complaining about diversity. Their issue was every character not having the corresponding

I understand this sentiment but at the same time when the fad ends you’re going to get shitty-looking Unreal Engine games instead, which I personally think is worse. I’m all for some games doing the pixel art for nostalgia and literally making a lot more games possible with a small team while the big budget games can

Unfortunately my wife and I were probably seen as insulting at the ryokan we stayed at for a couple of days. Brought out this amazing and probably expensive dinner (not sure as it was part of a package), and even with our “we’re up for anything” attitude, we just could not get much of it down. Monkfish liver tofu

I would say the cafe scene at the end of TDKR is certainly a unique one if you’re picking best memories.  Then again I really like Forever so nothing to see here.

If you like retro action games I can’t see not picking this up. Trailer just looked awesome, and I usually have a “I guess we’ll see” reaction to any game trailer.

I still can’t figure out why they made Axel look like he should be permanently attached to a couch holding a beer while basking in the glow of a TV playing a football game. Like he’s not even built like a bigger dude who’s tough, like the other guy in Bloodsport. He just literally looks like a mostly out of shape man

Thanks for the suggestions. For what it’s worth I think S-Town is just out of this world and doesn’t adhere to the genre at all, and in a good way. It’s just a fantastic piece of media that took turns that the creators didn’t even necessarily want or expect. Just amazing.

Is it true that it has no save states?  I thought I heard that in a video review.  Seems like a really odd thing not to have if true.

Sometimes the broad answer when someone is bugging you in any capacity is to be honest, and blunt if it comes to it. Easier said than done, and it can be really hard to work up to doing it, but that is often the answer. It’s a little easier to manage if you focus on being polite but honest. If they force you to be

I had a hot dog.

Thanks for the non sequitur I guess.

This seems like it’s fairly innocent. I mostly think that all SI is doing here is saying “Other sports outlets do ‘wacky’ and ‘fun’ topics that don’t take sports so seriously. We should do that sometimes too.”

The problem is that the laziest people like to take the idea of light/good and dark/evil and make it into a race thing. It’s usually a coincidence more than anything else, and it all started way back in the day based on the fundamental belief that light represented hope and safety, while dark represented night and

I hate jingoistic American bullshit (I am American) so I don’t have a problem with him saying all this.  Doesn’t mean he’s right though, and just because he doesn’t make those kinds of films doesn’t mean that there isn’t a lot of killing and other fucked up shit happening in Japanese media.  It’s all just very
