You can just wear an eye patch, you don't need to - eh, some lessons you just have to learn yourself.

It turns out the substance on Monica Lewinsky's dress was actually radical Skrull slime?
You could actually see things in that trailer? It was just all black silhouettes with neon highlights to me. It looked like the entire thing was shot in a cheap strip club that didn't want you to notice the state of the floor.
In the last few years we've gotten Frozen, Zootopia, and the Minions as iconic characters just from kids' productions. The last decade saw an explosion of new icons for adults in Jigsaw, the Fast and Furious, Pirates of the Caribbean, plus there is real potential in new franchises starting up now in The Kingsmen and…
That's the most terrifying thing about movies like this; they seem to create a dystopia in which no new media is created between the present and whatever future date they take place in. I would love to see an imaginative interpretation of new characters or media trends that might appear in the next 30+ years to…
Didn't you hear? The Wonder Woman movie was good. We can't make fun of DC anymore.
The trivia episode of Polygon's PUBG series was particularly enjoyable. It turns out Jeopardy is fun anywhere, even a zombie-infested warzone.
Well, that explains why Quentin Tarantino has never pursued a career in comics journalism…
We always knew that journalism degree would pay off!
Loretta yourself out.

Yeah, I don't get the hate for Foster the People. If Supermodel were released a decade ago it would have been a critical darling. A great deal of Torches (most notably the singles) is dated mid-00s dance rock, but it's done well and served as a great launching point for the psychadelic experimentation to come next.
I love the lo-fi aesthetic when it is skillfully deployed, so as to avoid the loss of dynamic range. It can be done, it just requires some finesse.
Foster the People's Supermodel is the pop version of Tame Impala and I think it's significantly underrated. All the more reason to be disappointed by the new direction.
Hey man, animation takes awhile.
When I think of some of the terrible places I've been because of it, I'm genuinely surprised to still be here. There's nowhere to really hide and nobody you can truly turn to when you are your own worse enemy. I encourage everybody to seek out all the help you can get, and never be to proud to take medication.…
Yeah, I realize I phrased that incorrectly. They were fighting to secede, so that would have been a victory, however when generally speaking about hypotheticals like this 'win' means complete takeover. The series they're planning on making seems to be about the former and not the latter.
If you read the article it's not implying they won, just that the secession was a success. And I think there are some scenarios in which that is possible, though I do doubt whether the South could remain powerful for very long following…
Can we make a show about if the South won but taking place in the 'present' when the North is rising again and a wave of positive change sweeps through the nation, dismantling all backwards prejudice institutions and rebuilding a new America that is truly united in the pursuit of liberty for all?
I watch clips on YouTube and can rarely make it through just 6 minute segments because most of the punchlines are predictable and shallow. I want to support the show, because I do think there is quality there and Noah's response to the Castile shooting was vital, but… It's really just a formula at this point.
