I watched the premiere at a bar with a projector set up. They didn't have the video hooked up right the first time they started the episode, and it was just a black screen with audio playing. It was well over a minute before somebody realized this wasn't an artistic decision by Lynch and that the playback was broken.

I have seen this post before. I know your reddit account now…

It's completely understandable for that show not to be your 'thing.' But it certainly isn't being mysterious for the sake of being mysterious. Perhaps the rest of the world is just pretending to 'get it,' but I know at least on a personal level I connect with it in a clear and coherent way better than any other show

Huh… For the first time in months… I just don't care about Trump.

Gotta' save something for Season 3!

I suppose the real question is, to what extent is this a coincidence and to what extent is this artistic resonance? Surely the fact that a midi sheet so perfectly resembles the roadsign is to some degree happenstance, but at the same time this song clearly struck Lynch's fancy for its ambiance and its crescendos that

Cornell Sanders passed away?! Why must we live only to see the things we love taken away from us?!

I know the feeling. I'm drunk too at the moment. Thus the fight request. I'll probably be crying in 20 minutes either way.

Wow, this goes hard. Much better than most of Run the Jewels 3.

Very true on both accounts. However, I've never ascribed to judging music based on the time it was made in. Good music is good music. Audioslave isn't close to the best album ever made, nor does it stand with Soundgarden's best works, but I always enjoy listening to it. What more can you ask for out of your music?

Agreed. After a lot of post-analysis I see that Lost Highway is a pretty tight and well-crafted film, but while watching it there are long stretches that either feel alienating or outright dull. If it is your first Lynch film it can be captivating, if it isn't then Lost Highway can be monotonous and aimless in ways

I feel like I have pretty decent musical tastes, for whatever that term means. Follow music sites, keep up with new artists, listen to diverse genres, etc. For the most part, even if I don't agree, I can understand where critics come from when they love or hate something. With very few exceptions…

I agree completely. I may not have liked the Snyder-led films (objectively they are both messes), but at least they had an identity. If WB/DC has concerns over their reception and viability that's understandable, because not every experiment works. The lesson they should have learned is that Snyder's vision wasn't

There is nothing more foolish in situations like this than trying to imitate your rival's success. They already have that; people are turning to them for a reason. How can you think that you'll take viewers away from that because you're doing the same thing? It makes no sense.

Thanks for this. Overall this seems like a really concise and knowledgeable recap, and I enjoy the fluid style that makes it feel somewhat like an hour-long trailer. I'll be sharing it with my uninitiated friends who, for some odd reason, don't have 24 hours free to watch the first two seasons in full.

I feel like pulling an artist's work because that person is a monumental asshole is a story, regardless of the art or the degree of assholery. It seems I'm in the minority with my concern over that particular ethical/artistic dilemma, though.

I agree completely. Of course anything is possible, but from my perspective I don't see any evidence of Trump himself explicitly involved in illegal political favors with Russia. There was no need for him to be, he hired enough people actually engaged in those things to just do that for him. Mike Flynn, Carter Page,

The thing that hurts the most is acknowledging I'm just here doing the same. But there's only so much that can be done right now besides fighting for sanity while we wait for results (one way or the other).

Until anything is proven, it's probably best to stick to the issues and complain about potential obstruction of justice. I know how tempting it is, but focusing on hypothetical crimes (however apparent) isn't just breeding fear and animosity among the 'side' that's supposed to be the reasonable alternative and the

Middle School felt like one of the longest, most trying periods of my life. So much happened, so many things were done and learned, so many struggles overcome… I'm sure many others share my same experience.
