Up until now, I’ve always thought that Warner didn’t really know what they were doing with their DC properties. Now, though, I’m certain of it.

The idea of doing a Black Adam solo movie that will have mainstream appeal is just mystifying to me. And I say that as someone who stans for the Rock.

I wonder if the fan toxicity was always there, but the internet has just given it a louder voice. The vitriol leveled against JNT and his time on the show was pretty hard core. I seem to recall lots of JNT Must Go letters in Doctor Who Monthly back in the day.

I’m always in the minority on this but i LOVE capaldi and am fine with moffat. Capaldi has always been a refreshing change from the shiny happy young man doctor. I’m ok with a new doctor, but i’ve thoroughly enjoyed his run. I have also enjoyed Mofffat’s storytelling...I mean sure there were duds, but RTD had plenty.…

This is so fucking true. The Who fandom is one of the worst for this.

There’s always complainers it’s kind of why I’ve largely walked away from fandom in general and Whovian fandom in specific as it’s getting to the point that fandom is damaging my enjoyment of the shows.

However, every producer all the way back to Verity Lambert has had something similar said about them. “It’s too garish”, “The show is too wacky, “the show is too serious”, “Why are they doing The Avengers with aliens?”, “Who is this Patrick Troughton buffoon!”

Well a common argument against racebending a white character is to “make a new character”. So that’s what they’re doing.

The new Wasp, Nadia Pym - white. Spider-Gwen - white (obviously). New Quasar - white. Gwenpool - white. And there’s likely more I can’t think of off the top of my head (I could put Laura “Wolverine” Kinney’s new sister, Gabby, in there, but so far I don’t think she counts as a superhero).
