Now, The Rock as Captain Marvel? That seems like it’d be a pretty easy sell - a kid turns into the Rock! Through magic! And he’s a superhero!

I love the show, loved Sarah Jane Adventures, own a fez and a half-dozen Tennant ties, dress as at least one Doctor each Halloween, and steer the hell clear of the fandom, who are so whiny they’d embarrass the man who complained that the food was awful and the portions were too small.

By my count, Stephen Moffat is wrote or was showrunner for every single on-screen depiction or reference to a Time Lord regenerating as a different sex than the previous generation: This, the reference to the Corsair in “The Doctor’s Wife,” Missy, and the general in “Hell Bent.”

I find the whole Cars universe genuinely weird and not in a fun way. Are the windshields actually 5-foot wide eyeballs? With two pupils, irises, etc? And weird fucking eyelids? Noped me right out of the first one.

I have done a fair amount of this sort of thing, though never for US cable news. I have only ever been paid for it by one foreign news outlet. Otherwise you’re just doing it for the thrill of sitting in a tiny studio looking into a camera and talking to people you can’t hear.
