Most steaks simply need salt and pepper. Salt and pepper a steak and set it out at room temp for about an hour. You’ll get nice meaty STEAK flavor which is why you buy steak. As Alton Brown says one of the best steaks for grilling is the skirt steak. Cooks fast and even.

I can see how telling someone “spend less than you earn” can be unhelpful advice if you’re trying to get that person to be smarter with money, much like saying to someone who’s overweight that losing weight is simply a matter of “calories in versus calories out.” However, I never really saw it as advice but rather as

There’s a very real chance that you will end up hating that diaper container. It will do less for the stink control than you would think. If you have a trash can outside, just walk em out there.

Regular diapers are great even though they do end up costing more! Which ones you buy is going to depend on preference and if your baby has reactions to some over others. My son had an issue with Pampers in that they weren’t absorbent enough so there were... messes. Luvs tended to have a perfuming agent which my wife

July 12th for us!

Goodbye sleep

They control the stink amazingly. The problem is that an ideal solution, once you put the diapers in, is to burn the entire contraption in place and start using a new one. Because you do NOT want to open it.

Let me tell you something no one told me: keep wipes everywhere. Keep a box in your car, keep a box near the changing area, keep a box in your diaper bag - everywhere you can keep wipes. There are few things worse than your baby having a blowout and running out of wipes or diapers.

My boy is due the 10th. This is very helpful thanks. First time dad as well.

Yay! Congrats!

Why: Alton Brown is the master of explaining cooking concepts instead of just walking you through recipes. You’ll understand some of the science behind why cooking makes things taste better, and why certain foods taste better together.

Want to put on some muscle? Deadlift, squat, bench press and repeat. You can workout for years doing just those 3 things and make continuous progress.

I second 5x5. Its damn easy to follow and by the time you top out of it you’ll have a better grasp on what your goals are. Also, no one has ever gotten accidental swolle. You’ve got to work real hard for the swolle.

I’d recommend the Stronglifts 5x5 workout. It’s not so brutal that you can’t do other things, but it WILL boost your metabolism through the roof, and you’ll make some muscle mass gains as well.

You’ll probably want to consume most of those additional calories from protein. Like duckfan says, slow and incremental.

It’s been said already. Slowly raise your calories in 200-5oo increments. But also get a workout program that focuses on strength building. Focus on compound lifts, low reps, and many sets. Keeping trying to add weight how ever you can. Even using assistance if you must. Just youtube it and see what other plans gain

Try to do it slowly, only adding about 200-300 calories to your maintenance caloric needs.

Actually, I concede to this. :) Auto-didacts who are super anal about measuring and understand the limitations of calorie counting could probably benefit from counting calories from exercise...as long as they don’t use it to justify a change in their original plans. e.g. when I’d run 6 miles and really really wanted a
