Between NYCANUCK and myself; at least two :P

Completely agree with this. I use the exact same set up (Charge HR and MFP) and it has made a HUGE difference for me. Setting up my macros correctly (thank you again, Mr.Talens) has made a tremendous difference in what and how much I eat.

So do you stick to a strict 1200 calorie a day diet? Or do you consume more calories on the days that you go for a run?

I’m with you! I’ve never been overweight, but once my metabolism started slowing down, I used MyFitnessPal to help curb my crappy eating habits and worked like a charm. Thinking about food in terms of calories (and other nutritional value) has absolutely helped me maintain a healthy weight, which includes weekly

I’ve lost 15 lbs since February (and I’m a lady over 40 who has had a child, so all the metabolic cards are stacked against me) using a Fitbit ChargeHR and the LoseIt app. I just ignore the calorie “credit” LoseIt gives me from Fitbit. I stick to the same calorie budget very day, regardless of exercise.

Great job on the weight loss! I think you are spot on about making sure you set the optimal settings. I use a MFP and a MSFT Band for tracking and just passed 18 lbs myself.

Why it may be a waste: Just because a little is good, doesn’t mean more is better. If you have your bases covered, adding extra vitamins won’t do anything. Most studies that involve giving people multivitamins find that the multi’s don’t help, on average. Is that because we have a hard time absorbing the nutrients

Could you share the sardine sandwich recipe?

Yes, the struggle is definitely an ongoing thing. Thanks for the tip!

Very true. I'm holding out hope for a better samsung/android watch. They already have where you can use it like a pedometer, but i'd like a few more features and a major price drop (like into the 100s) before i shell out money for something that will most likely need to be updated every 3 years. Ugh i hate how

The only thing that I could think of while reading his email is that at no point in the 23 years that I had with my father or after he passed have I wished that he wasn't around. In his 50 years on this miserable planet, he made many people's lives better, and he was my hero. Losing my father hurt and it still hurts,

Bob's email was rough to read, particularly in light of some difficult recent shit in my own life, and I agree that he sounds like a great, caring dude. Just wanted to say that your advice is excellent, and somehow your practical, kind comment to Bob's heartbreaking predicament really touched me. Keep up the good

Another option might be to state clearly and simply in an online dating profile that you are not interested in having or adopting children. Then people can either approach you or not with that information out of the way.

Hey Bob, I don't know how old you are, but you might want to try dating somebody who's older than you, more than just a year or two older. Maybe one that already has kids - teenagers or above - so they're not looking for Instant-Daddy, but more of just a companion. Older women may not want to go jogging at 6am or go

I also got a $1 credit for Super Why! (the little guy loves that show).

As a person who falls in the intersection of the Venn diagram of "Meticulous user of MyFitnessPal" and "Chipotle fiend" I am both super impressed with their nutritional information calculator and a little ashamed at some of the calorie counts I used to rack up in an average visit (hence the need for meticulous

You could try to use a condiment but eventually they'd ketchup to you.

This is basically how I eat. Minimizing carbs, sugars and starches and eating lots of meat and veggies and saturated fats. My body is in ketosis (meaning I use ketone bodies for energy). You get continuous amounts of smooth energy since you're relying mostly on the Krebs cycle for ATP production, but lack the quick

Meh, you can have your "science". Me, I keep hitting up the truck stop vending machines, eating egg salad sammiches, and waiting for these worms to do all the work of making me fit and healthy :)
