So, if the Russians find out that the fish in that lake poop out gold, do they get rights to all the gold in the lake? Since they were the first ones to breach it, thereby staking a claim.

Ohhhh.... you mean this guy?

I know that guy! That's... uh... Nicholas Coppola!

This guy?

Meanwhile, Mexican drug lords are standing in line waiting to buy one of these machines.

Yeesh! I was just kidding. Now I know why the called them 'hard' drives. Because they were hard to install. Duh duh dum!

Dang! If a memory stick was that big, how big was a hard drive?

Now would be a good time to film that Top Gun sequel.

I apparently put my reply to koaly in the wrong place so here it is again...

I got curious and took a look. It seems it's much easier to replace a screen on the ASUS than it is on an HP. Now you'd have to find a working screen on eBay.

I ran into this situation once. My roommate had a older Pavilion laptop with a broken screen and a bad hard drive. She gave it to me so I found one on eBay with a fried motherboard, I think it was around $100. I was able to scavenge the drive, bluetooth module and screen and place them in mine. Still working fine.

I found this pair at Big Lots a few years ago for, I think, $19.99. They don't have the greatest sound but they still receive when I'm sitting out on the porch. Should be fine for listening to TV in bed.

I wish I would have seen that price for the i5 earlier but I'm more than happy with my i7 at the higher price.

I just finished building a computer using a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3 board, an i7 2600K processor and 16GB Corsair Vengeance memory. Not much more than $550, even after taxes. Watch for rebates and sales. I already had a case and hard drives... and a floppy drive (yeah I said it!). The computer is blazing fast.

Or maybe he was just trying to be funny, and people don't have a sense of humor anymore? Or maybe it just wasn't that funny? I was more amused by the comment.

Do you think 200 years from now some dumb kid will be asking when the Internet War of 2012 started?

I wonder if he knows when the War of 1812 started?

Ever see the movie 'Idiocracy'?

Someone on Reddit had the idea of everyone burning their Sims to death on Wednesday to protest EA Games support of SOPA.
