I never had much time to read all the articles anyway, I find myself skipping a lot more of them now. More than anything, I think the images and short teasers in the old layout caused me to click on the whole article. I think I'll get used to this new site though and hope I can find more time to read everything.

@violent peas: You should have looked into these... Walltalkers. We've installed them floor to ceiling, corner to corner so that you can write or project anywhere on the walls. I've done a few conference rooms where they did all the walls. I guess they couldn't stay within the lines?
