I thought Peyton Manning and Derick Jeter were pretty decent hosts. Also, I will never forget watching Joe Montana say the line ‘I’m going upstairs to masturbate’, in a sketch. I was a kid and thought that was the edgiest thing ever.

Nothing comes to mind...  just looked at the list of worst episodes according to IMDB and I wouldn’t say any are worse than Orphan 55.

 Series 9 has only one episode that can even be called mediocre - "Sleep No More" - but every single other episode is ACES. But yea every other season definitely follows that pattern
