He’s old and is out of touch with what is happening in pop culture and has been since (insert the year you were in college here)

That’s one of my problems with this show in that it hasn’t really been shown that we should be rooting for the Targs when essentially they rule Westeros because they have dragons. If I were a westerosi, I would not exactly be super excited about that.

Lots more blood and a death probably 

I have seen both Spartacus and Schitt’s Creek and immediately thought of Schitt’s creek. I don’t think it’s a crime against recapping to think of a more current show that was almost word for word like the dialogue in the current show.

I definitely agree. I’m having problems with the show because I have no sense of the stakes or particularly care about them right now

I really thought there was a lot of lesbian subtext to Rhyneara and Alicent and that it was headed that way but it didn’t. I am also a straight dude so I am not an authority on the subject 

This was an issue with GoT (and the books) where awful things were depicted and while you could definitely argue that it was something that happened in Medieval times and made some sense to the story was just too much and everyone involved could have just decided to make a better choice.

I’m meh on Emily but I’m going to miss Milly Alcock. I find that her performance is the most compelling part of the show and now that’s going away. I also feel bad for both Milly and Emily in that they were the ones who got to do all the foundational work for the characters and the ones who made us care about the…

It’s also kind of true that, as he says, once people know that he broke his vows and will continue to do so, things will only go badly. Them running away together is the only way they could be together that doesn’t end with something awful happening to him. 

I think it’s more like Tyrion and Sam were fun characters who acted as audience surrogates throughout GoT. This show does not have any of those type characters so this show is less fun. Rhaenyrs is clearly the character we’re supposed to root for but she really isn’t nearly as much fun as half the characters of GoT

I get the Dead Gays trope and completely understand why it’s a problem. I also understand that the story works best if Joffrey killed. Which is unfortunate. I do like that they made it pretty clear that he’s a dick and was being a dick to Ser Scott Stapp and that he probably had it coming.

I would watch the crap out of a show in which Jose Mourhino takes over the Jaguars

It’s an award show for the people who actors and it’s a big deal for those who win. Ultimately, the moment should be for them and not for us, the audience, so if one actor decides to really celebrate and give a really heartfelt speech, they should. How would the rest of us like it if we won some huge, incredible award…

it’s not very good season of tv, though. I’ll give Lasso all the credit for it’s first season but s2 is just kind of a formless, shapeless, snooze.
