Honestly feel like that was one of the issues both the show AND Martin faced- you can only subvert things for so long and then at some point you have to get on with it. The heroes have to win something and the bad guys have to lose and the heroes have to do something heroic. People got pissed at the show for the

George would never have helped them do another series anyways because he’s too busy finishing the Winds of Winter.

It’ll be a good reminder as we enter another year of Covid to get all of your shots and maintain clean living practices

Those dudes were WAY more distracting than Yoko could ever have been. They looked totally more capable of pulling off some Manson-like slaughter of the band than Yoko and her knitting needles

I read somewhere that they hadn’t really played together as a band since ‘66 as Sgt Peppers was mainly a studio thing and the White Album mostly solo stuff.

“One does not simply get a ticket to ride into Mordor”

“One does not simply walk into Penny Lane”

Ringo carrying  John up the stairs to the concert stage made me get all teary

Everybody talks about all the inter-band conflicts but my main take away was how how over being the Beatles were to them. They were the biggest band in the universe and came out with Sgt Peppers just two years before, what else did they have to do? The sessions felt less like a band enjoying being with each other and

That’s how I saw it. It’s kind like a baseball game in that you just put it on in the background and then perk up when something exciting happens. I’ve also found that it’s really hard to stop when you put it on because it just has an incredible vibe to it.

Ringo steals the movie

All those scenes in biopics where a musician writes something famous and everybody stops what they’re doing and join in always seemed fake. And then it happens a few times in this movie and it’s amazing.

Halford can’t be gay- he’s in a heavy metal band!

He’s up there with James Hetfield and the Gallagher brothers in rock stars I never want to hear discuss politics or social issues.

Never forget Queen is the band who gave us the song “Fat Bottom Girls,” a song that is both extremely problematic and yet rocks.

He WILL rock you

Mick did that song making fun of anti-vaxxers with Dave Grohl so, go Mick go! Keith Richards, however, is high on my list of rock stars I never want to hear spout off on politics.

Old rock stars should just keep their mouths shut. They almost never come off well when they spout off about something.

I think both fit into the category of musicians who we wouldn’t acknowledge as gay when we were younger and more naive, but it became totally obvious when they came out. Blatantly obvious. I mean, of course they were gay, but it was way before we could all wrap our heads around the idea that a rock star could be gay.

To be fair, she hasn’t been written with any sense of power and menace. Her Doctor is passive and reactionary and her stories haven’t had any sense of stakes of them. It’s hard for her to have that sorta bad ass quality if she hasn’t been written to have it.
