I feel like this and Folklore were meant to appeal to the music, indie-rock snobs out there. The kind who secretly kind of liked a lot of her earlier stuff but would never admit to it because she’s too poppy. No self-respecting indie snob would ever consider listening to something produced by Max Martin. Now it’s cool

It definitely sounds like a B-sides album because the songs don’t measure up to the songs on Folkore. There’s nothing as good as the best songs on that album and there’s a lot less hooks to it. That could be the point in that the album feels like it could intentionally be made that way to be more atmospheric and

I think that’s an apt description for those of us who watch the show live

They probably could have more time to do WU if she doesn’t spend half of her bit spraying water at Colin and cracking herself up. Actually, one of my favorite bits on SNL is all the cast members who purposely mess with Colin during their bits

I loved it because I hate the commercial and makes it seem normal that a family can just go and buy a bunch of cars at once and it played in that idea. Not to mention that no parent in a family should just go out and buy a car without checking with the other one first. The wife would have the exact same reaction in

Maybe, but it still holds that I’m not sure which male cast member could have pulled that much weight in an opening skit. If I were a male cast member I might be a little upset that there’s about ten of you, all fighting for screen time, and they gave the role to a woman.

I think that’s why I liked the opening skit- it hit all if the jokes, didn’t overdo them, and ended it at just the right moment. Seeing an opening skit that wasn’t overly long and not over done felt like a relief.

I liked the opening skit, though. Her WU bits might be a bit too much goofing off though

She’s only used in the big sketches and isn’t in any of the lesser ones. I’m kind of digging her late SNL cast member IDGAF attitude where she gets dropped into a skit, hams it up (maybe too much), and just has fun with it. She seems more like she’s goofing off more than being just part of the skit. She’s great enough

I did not like the Little Horse as there’s only one tiny horse in this world that matters and he’s up in Horsey Heaven, 10,000 candles in the wind 💨

I honestly thought he was British. Too many artsy flicks and too pretty to be American. He’s got that Mick Jagger/Harry styles vibe going on

Hmmm.... I loved the ‘Rona skit and thought it worked on a whole bunch of levels. I actually thought it was the best skit if the season.

Since both the Good Place and Saul mainly ran in the Before Times, I completely forgot they aired this year. I feel like the last time I watched either was a few years ago.

My weird take on the show is that I much preferred the early seasons when everybody was much meaner and unlikeable than later seasons. I felt like the last few seasons suffered some of the same issues as Parks & Rec did in that it got overwhelmed by the genuine sweetness of the show. Still, it’s hard to argue that all

I need to rewatch that episode because I think I was too dazzled by the sheer audacity of the comic brilliance of the episode that I never actually laughed.

There’s a few episodes of Bojack’s final season that are utterly amazing. The one where he (spoilers) almost dies is another one on a whole other level, as is the final episode just in terms of the resolution between him and Diane. That show is a wonder- it can do all of that while also having two characters running

I’m interested to see what you think. I think the album does sound a bit like outtakes from Folklore and that she gets so caught up on mood and atmosphere (which is great) that there’s not much in the way of hooks or melody. The song Evermore, however, is on a whole other level. Just amazing

Not that much bopping on it, actually. Probably needed some more bop in it as it felt kind of sleepy to me

Keep fucking that IP chicken, Disney

If I could go back in time, I’d do a comic book knowing that at some point in the future, I’d make millions selling the franchising rights. Also, I’d probably warn Hillary about paying more attention to the Rust Belt bit after getting that sweet, sweet, IP Disney cash
