It might be another reflection of the ISB’s arrogance, or it might very well be that they do have a spy network but the writers chose not to feature it this season.

Shouldn’t that be Subservience starring M3GAN Fox?

Alien: Romulus

Jerry Bruckheimer stated the script for Margot Robbie’s Pirates of the Caribbean movie “needs a little more work,”

Maverick is the first Top Gun sequel to ever redo Top Gun.

It didn’t work because you didn’t do anything different.

I’m genuinely somewhat flabbergasted a film like that has been made, in 2022, and not by Netflix. AND starring a proper Hollywood name n’ all. Not just the premise that involves time-travel, the whole movie looks like an unearthed Elevator PItch from 20 years ago.

There was a rumor put forth by The Wrap from “trusted sources” at WB that she refused to do any rewrites at all and would take no criticism of her script. It was repeasted in fairly reputable locations including the AV Club.  It also said she sent one of the higher ups at WB films the wikipedia entry on what a

Indeed. The first film was great as long as you grade it on the DCEU curve. I totally agree that it fell apart like the Bluesmobile somewhere around the 2/3-3/4 mark, but up to that point it was (IMO) genuinely good.

It never sounded like she walked away, it sounded like she was pushed out for a variety of reasons including creative differences, refusal to budge on her vision, WW84 bombing, and new management. Oh, and apparently emailing her boss wikipedia links because ego.

Let Tony Gilroy or Gareth Edwards take over Rogue Squadron. Andor had shown how good a gritty, messy, clever Star Wars franchise can be.

just wished they weren't terrible movies. The first WW was good for 5/8ths, and became a garbage movie. The second film… was not for me, or people who like comedy, or quality, and also not good.

The “attractive clickbait false story that it was me that killed it or walked away” thing reminds me of Jay Leno, in the aftermath of getting Conan fired, saying “don’t blame Conan.” As David Letterman said in a pointed monologue, nobody was blaming Conan, and I don’t think that “WW3 died because Jenkins walked” is

They are all the previous managements shows.

No, it’s so they don’t have to pay residuals. IIRC, residuals also apply to home video sales. So don’t get your hopes up.

HBO and WB are btoh owned by Warner Discovery, so yes, it’s the exact same level of shooting yourself in the foot.

What the hell is up with HBO Max kicking their own shows off their service? That is a bizarre self-own

HBO Max has canceled Joss Whedon’s The Nevers and plans to remove the series from its servers entirely. Though “only the first half of the show’s 12-episode order has aired,” Variety notes “the remaining six could eventually stream on another platform” somewhere down the line.

By next spring, all the decent stuff will be gone from HBO Max and its entire revenue stream will be old people who forgot to cancel their subscriptions – the AOL gambit.

Darn, I know it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I really liked the Nevers.
