I love Doom Patrol. That is all.

Foundation - this is great news. I know a lot of people hate the series because it drastically changes the books, but it’s one of the best, high budget sci-fi stories available. The designs and VFX are utterly gorgeous and the writing and characters are compelling (to me at least).

No.

I was so glad you did a post on it! I read it earlier this morning and was like “who is going to fall for this?”.

Here is the sheet from the deadline article:

Couldn’t “Holy fuck” be interpreted as, “You just submitted a 614-page screenplay?”?

And that was with the support of the anti-woke brigade, who were loudly championing it as counter-programming to Captain Marvel (because Brie Larson had dared to suggest that the target audience for A Wrinkle in Time is perhaps not well represented amongst all the older white men being paid to review it).

Had to google the numbers but: $405 million on a budget of $170 million, for an IP adaptation that didn’t exactly win over newbies and anime fans alike? I’d say more chance of my election to God-Emperor of Earth than an Alita sequel getting greenlit.

I’m glad you said they abandoned their premiere, because that’s all I saw and was not particularly interested in going back to it. Now, I might give it a look.

I will never understand why fanboys hate Karen Page as much as they do. Deborah Ann Woll did a fantastic job, IMHO.

Somehow Palpatine keeps returning.

Two things:

I would watch the shit out of that show.

Continuity?

The fact that it’s spoken by a solemn robot gorilla just makes it *chef’s kiss*

Even if isn't worse, it could be as bad as 2-5. I hope not, but hopes are not high.

stop, you’ll jinx it.

Of all the threats from both your past and future, you’ve never faced anything like this” instantly enters the lexicon of totally incomprehensible movie dialogue

I was not expecting that cast in a movie named Cocaine Bear.

Fuck it. Sold.
