Yup. The writing on WW84 was absolutely atrocious. I can’t believe anyone would call it a success or why WB would be fast-tracking another movie.

That armour was pointless. It strikes me as something that someone found in a picture from the comics and they tried to build a plot point around it so they could have a nice visual in the film. But it just didn’t work.

Is Wonder Woman 1984 a genre movie? It is, right? Because that’s not just one of the worst movies of the year, it’s one of the worst I’ve ever seen.

It’s not you. My heart jumped at the idea of a trailer and what I got was...that. Superman’s existential crisis is not what I was expecting.

Is it just me or, even for a teaser, this waa really bad? The narration is so lifeless and wooden, the visuals are repetitive and confusing, and the color palette is ugly. Just, berk.

You mean by pointing out a clear example of the poor writing that a lot of people point out as a main flaw of the film? Thats not trying hard to dislike a film, it strikes me as a pretty standard takeaway.

I don’t wish to negate your enjoyment of the film. I’m happy that you found so much to love in it. But to your specific point of “I think folk are trying too hard to not like the movie”; I really enjoyed WW1 and was dying to see the sequel. We had Xmas dinner and I made it clear to my wife and our 2 friends that at

I do not trust io9 reviews. Especially for this franchise. When they put the original Wonder Woman on their ten best comic book films of the decade I knew they weren't impartial.

Right? Its so long and messy.

I swear there was some drama involved with the studio and Patty but everyone is keeping shut. There’s no way everyone was happy with that film at the studio.

I’m still trying to understand how the movie can sit on the shelf for almost 2 years and no one revisited It critically and saw what a mess It was? There Is a good movie In there - they just need to carve Into It.

I’ll never trust any of this mans reviews. This movie was a hot loooooong mess with extremely questionable choices. I can’t believe the trailer was better than the movie. It had so much potential, you can see glimpses of it when you watch but I swear there must have been some backstage drama. That’s the only way this

Wonder Woman 1984 is unique in that it’s a standalone film without the burden of all the other DCEU films weighing it down, and yet it still manages to be a muddied, difficult to understand mess.

When Homer was designing his dream car and said that every car should have that little ball on the antenna that helps you find yours in a crowded parking lot?

It was YEARS before I realized that that was a joke about what a terrible idea that would be.

YEARS.

Vincent Price actually has a grandson named Jody. There’s no real joke to it.

My big question is, right now... Kevin Hart? Really? Okay... a shorter actor with a comedic sensibility isn’t who I’d really pick for Roland... he’s kind of a beefy mercenary dude who’s a protagonist-style straight man. Terry Crews would be a much better fit.

What’s infuriating about the show is that it started when Terry Pratchett was still alive and he was closely involved (there’s even a YouTube video of the very first tone meeting back in 2011) and it was going to be effectively a sequel to the books. Pratchett decided that none of the TV shows had quite captured the

I’ve been a hardcore Discworld fan since I was 13 (I’m 40 now) and literally nothing about this interests me at all. Notwithstanding Rhianna’s scorn on it, either.
