I saw a Star Trek movie when I was in 7th grade, I think, (the one with Iman & Christian Slater; admittedly not a Trekkie here) & the crowd was incredible. Every sort of corny joke/victory for the good guys was greeted with mass hysteria & it really enhanced the whole experience imo.

Christ, what an asshole.

Harrowing stuff, yeesh.

I wouldn't call that a bargain.

It's toward the back. ;)

Boy in the Bubble is one of my favorite Side 1, Track 1s ever. Just perfect.

I heard a truncated version of Paradise City on commercial radio earlier this year whereby the entire double time/refrain/solo that makes up the last couple minutes was omitted up until the last few seconds when Axl says "Baby!".

Great list; Spacemen 3 alone gets the upvote but I've always dug Cry Baby Cry too as far as overlooked Beatles songs (if there is such a thing) go. Eric's Trip too!

It could be from the perspective of a Dunkin Donuts front end manager, maybe?

I was just listening to Green last week.

Nico - These Days
Bruce Springsteen - The E St. Shuffle
Wings - Love is Strange
Ofege - It's Not Easy
Cat Stevens - Here Comes My Baby
Stereolab - La Boob Oscillator
Meat Puppets - Aurora Borealis
Emitt Rhodes - With My Face on the Floor
Heatmiser - See You Later
Husker Du - Books About UFOS

Elaine wrote a Murphy Brown script while Kramer even had a guest turn. Selma singing to Jub Jub the iguana was a nod to said show too.

I mean, it's Cruel Intentions. They're not exactly serializing Citizen Kane or something.

Burton Cummings?

He's practically got a lifetime pass after The Office & Extras from me.

Maybe 1997-99 Pavement, but opinions do vary. ;)

Yup, Vauxhall would almost certainly be my favorite solo LP of his too. I definitely had The More you Ignore Me single (cassingle!) in my young teens & I went absolutely head over heels with the full album a handful of years later. It's fantastic.

Definitely a grower.

I take it he doesn't have Deserter's Songs? I'd sort of assumed that was as ubiquitous as a Frampton Comes Alive among the more musically oriented AV Clubbers.

Don't you see? That's the genius of it..
