Ha, I don't see the resemblance but he was just about the only redeeming thing on that show past the first season or two.

Dennis Miller was a rock star (& would be my choice as the best) but Norm was practically the only reason I ever revisited this show after the season described above.

It was something of a roundabout reference, as it were.

Post-Odelay Beck was the musical guest and this was the one with the Star Wars auditions and a Norm as Dave sketch too (Spacey played William Hurt, if memory serves).
