I've never understood this take. Why should geography necessarily play any part in an individual's fandom? Especially today, there are little to no barriers to entry (outside of economic) to prevent somebody from following just about nay team, etc.

Harry Shearer as Handsome Dan is about the only thing memorable about that movie. Very little of the spirit of the original at all.

I feel like she was in some forgettable teen tv show where she tried to pull off a pretty substandard English accent. Definitely She Spies though with Ramon from Seinfeld.

Way, way earlier as far as the shelf life goes on your Simpsons example imo. I can't even imagine a case after (maybe) Season nine.

I feel like the then unknown (to me, at least) Jason Lee stood out clearly but that might be more damning of the other leads than true unadulterated praise.

It's just too good..

I think at the time it felt like something of a reboot of the first album but a lot of that was "wait, Weezer is back?" nostalgia. I don't think time has been particularly kind to it but mileage obviously varies. I'd say Maladroit is a better album personally.

That's the trick for a lot of things!
