'Is there another kind?

'Whoa'

Did this really happen? Jesus, I'm pretty sure we had that guy with the white spot from Talk Soup.

Widespread change in public schools is hard. Give it a decade.

'That line about Mickey Mouse growing up a cow is about as stupid as it gets'

I almost feel like Odelay hasn't aged that well. Strangely, Mellow Gold has but this might be a YMMV situation.

Cut Your Hair?

A post-1995 Spiral song. Proceed with caution obviously. ;)

So, this might be the greatest parody account ever…

Fantastic album (although I didn't come in contact with in until 1996 in the US, I think).

I was a teen at the time and there really was a backlash against that album in just about all corners of the music press. I always liked it though & it seems like public opinion has come around in a big way re: Wowee Zowee.

Another great band. Possibly even greater.

"Whoa..cool.'

Oh, it sure is. It's almost stream of consciousness, in a way, which is different as Barrett's PF stint showcased a songwriter whose best stuff was typically winsome & evocative in a different way. It really dwarfs the rest of the album which is fairly average (imo) with the exception of the last song.

Well, she hasn't got a lot to say..

They should've recreated that scene after Bill Nighy's character's holiday Troggs adaptation hit #1.

'Don't Let the Pigeon Peruse the Clickbait'

They're not out of place in the blues/folk tradition though & it fits well with 'You Can't Do That' in Lennon's canon of rockers such as this.

Jugband Blues is unsettling coming in there when contrasted with what came before it but it's the most compelling song on that album by far imo & it's Syd so whatevskies really.
