One of the best episodes for Paulina Alexis as Willie Jack, my favorite character & possibly the best, funniest, & most affecting performance on the show

Yes & looked at that way it was kind of a dumb trade, though they did need a physical backup for Kareem, which was why they later got Mychal Thompson 

Kareem is one of the best characters on the show though. They do a good job showing why he comes off as difficult. The scene of him after the fire bonding finally with the LA fans finally was really well done & I loved Riley being shocked that Kareem was the one to fire up his teammates as a result but just going with…

Swen Nater is the only man to have led both the ABA and NBA in rebounding! But he was cooked apparently by the time the Lakers got him & only lasted one season in LA, playing limited minutes as Kareem’s backup. Byron Scott however made that deal a win for the Lakers.

Christina Ricci is awesome. I realize that she is not Wednesday Addams in real life, but it would be nice if she got revenge on her abuser Wednesday-style

I start to suspect Tobert because he seems too helpful all of the sudden and Mabel gets huffy about her track record of dating non-murderers being better than Charles’ (and obviously the show is due to have a male killer)

The episodes with the aunties are always standouts & I definitely think this one was. I loved how happy Cookie was when she found out that Elora is going to college 

I also loved West being fake cheerful & giving Westhead a thumbs up as he is writing names of potential replacement coaches on the whiteboard 

I love that just in passing we hear Bob McAdoo--a three time NBA scoring champion--demoted to be the 6th man in order for Kurt Rambis to enter the starting lineup. Both would thrive in their new roles, Rambis doing dirty work with the starters & McAdoo as the focus of the offense with the bench unit. 

I loved Jerry West (my favorite character on the show) adamantly refusing to return to coaching even when Buss asks if he is okay with their season tanking and the Celtics winning another title instead—a low blow given how much West hates the Celtics (remember him refusing to even go inside Boston Garden last season).

Kristen Schaal is the voice of Louise on Bob’s Burgers and Mabel on Gravity Falls, two all-time great comedic performances

McKinney doesn’t respect Westhead as a coach, but the personal animosity is due to him feeling that Westhead and Riley manuevered to replace him as coach when he was injured. He took this from Westhead in particular as a personal betrayal
