Well she might be an awful abusive gaslighter, but at least she is deeply unfunny
I have some concerns
After Hours is my favorite Scorsese movie other than Goodfellas. Did he ever try another movie with anything like the vibe of this? Maybe Bringing out the Dead? That is pretty different though
I love the discussion on Homicide: Life on the Streets after they trick a suspect into confessing by convincing him a copy machine is a lie detector about whether stupid people commit crimes, or crime makes you stupid
James Gunn is too busy to tell us a specific date for the remaining Doom Patrol episodes, but he can compose a lengthy tweet telling us about why he is too busy to do that
The wording of that Foundation blurb makes it sound like the six men Lee Pace are fighting are nude. Which would also have been interesting
What do people think is Gaga’s most underrated song? I might go with “Sinner’s Prayer”
The casting of Verne Troyer as Napoleon in the Bruce Campbell syndicated show Jack of all Trades is probably largely to blame for the Napoleon is short myth
In some ways he betrayed the principles of the French Revolution, like by becoming emperor for example. But he used its ideas to strengthen the French military, by opening up promotion to merit instead of letting aristocrats buy commissions. Turns out this makes your military a lot more efficient
This is the most blatant case of fraudulent advertising since Lionel Hutz’s suit against the film The Neverending Story!
He was an iconic sitcom weirdo on The Office & people really love that show. I thought it was okay. I guess I think he is a good actor
There are surprisingly few great werewolf movies, given what an iconic monster they are. I do not think that Wolf Hollow is going to add to that list
Polly is perhaps the most confusing character on Riverdale, I gave up on trying to figure out what her deal was like, seasons ago. Good for Betty not giving up on her sister I guess, except that Polly is almost certain to do something crazy & let her down again
WTF
Why did I fall for this. The article is from 2022
Big Trouble in Little China to me is as good as anything John Carpenter ever did & is Kurt Russell’s best performance. That is a movie that looks better every year. I loved it when I first saw it, even though it is an homage to a genre that I did not even know existed
If you meet the hilarious and luminous Kristen Schaal, you should make sure you know how to spell her name
Deadloch was legit amazing. I can’t even decide if the mystery or the comedy worked better, and somehow they complimented each other, which could easily not be the case. Things being funny did not make it less tense
