I learned to drive on stick. My current car is the first car I've had without one. If I had to do it again I'd get a stick, because my commute is mostly highway with no traffic now. But there are some days where I'm glad I can choose to let the car shift for itself.

Manual is not fun in traffic. At all. Unless you are truly blessed or live way outside a city, a manual commute can get tiresome very fast.
