My Eyes are Wide Shut for this take.

Wasn’t he planning on making a Star Trek movie? I was looking forward to hearing:

I don’t think most of us have had the experience Tarantino had, of going from dude slinging videocassettes to one of the most celebrated writers and directors on the planet, more or less overnight.

Like Tarantino or hate him, it’s clear he thinks a lot about films and I don’t know going from the toast of Cannes to the

To be fair, he’s been saying “I’ll only make ten movies” at least since Jackie Brown, his third film. So I don’t think fear has anything to do with it, but a planet sized ego does.

I would laugh myself silly if he just pulled a total curve ball and his final film was a Fast & Furious film. No. A Transformers sequel.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Wes Anderson movie in theaters and thought “Thank god I didn’t see this on a small screen, it would have ruined it.”  Jackass on the other hand deserves to be seen large, a true theater experience.

It’s so great being rich and white, and being able to schedule when you will be arrested...

God, I’ll always remember leaving the theater that day and you could just feel the excitement in the air. It was such a mindblowing experience watching Smokey and the Bandit for the first time.

The south is different in racism because of who gets voted into office or who they vote for in general and the agendas they enact.

Chincoteague and Assateague? Beaufort County, S.C. has about 200 islands.

Addressing the constant lying coming from Faux News is desperately needed in order to have any progress on this front, however.

I saw this video, and imediately wondered where Nathan was.

Lumping those 3 films together is kinda weird to me.
Speed Racer was too much of an assault on my eyeballs for much else to stick in the memory.
Jupiter Ascending had a lot of good ideas, but incredibly poor execution of most of them.
But Cloud Atlas was actually good.

If tanking looks like Speed Racer, Jupiter Ascending, and Cloud Atlas, and succeeding wildly looks like a Russo Bros. movie, I’ll take the tank. Every day.

Outer Banks almost every summer as a child, and my favorite place in the world is Captiva. ETA: And I’ve been to Catalina too! I must have a thing for islands...

I watched like 2 1/2 episodes of Girls and my entire review boils down to “way less funny Broad City.”

She’s a rich, white girl from New York’s upper strata. Pretty much everyone is obligated to crawl up her arse.

If that doesn’t intrigue you, please go away.

I have a friend who hates to watch any movie that makes him think or feel emotions. He always brings up the fact that I give him shit for liking Michael Bay’s Transformers movies. I point out that our mutual friends also likes the Transformers films without me giving them shit for it because they also like well made,

This reminds me that I’ve been meaning to watch Silverado again. I love that movie but it’s been a long time since I’ve sat down and watched it through.
