Came to say the same thing. McDowell really brought a touch of menace to Roark, plus there was the hint that everyone working on the island was in some kind of afterlife limbo working off some seriously nasty karma, with Roark as warden. Yet it was still fun, in a Twilight Zone kind of way, where “be careful what you

The ‘90s version is underrated. It’s a great medium between the optimistic original series and grimdark movie, with Malcolm McDowell’s Roark as a guy who can be pretty sinister and sadistic, but it’s still all in the name of making his guests’ lives better.

Stand back everyone:

...and WW is basically Capt. America The First Avenger with a woman playing the lead and taking place in WWI and not WWII.

Nice try, Bill Gates. No, nobody is going to use Bing, ever. It’s like the Zune of search engines.

Hulu and HBO Max paid ungodly sums for Seinfeld and Friends. People like watching their comfort food security blanket shows over and over. So yeah.

You jest but he bought a castle a few months before he was cast in the film.  This is a total paycheck movie but he still managed to have fun.

That’s okay. I only go there for the articles.

Does FOMO have an opposite number where you’re actually fine about having missed something? Because that’s how I feel about the Office.

Same here. People around here think you’re just being ridiculous if you seriously follow every precaution. I make masks, and just a few weeks ago one of my customers asked if she could stop by my house to pick them up (instead of waiting for me to deliver it to her a few days later). She’s someone who generally

Please please please do not confuse le Carré with Tom Clancy. The difference is between a portrait artist and a cartoonist.

I think his role in The Dark Knight trilogy is underrated - especially The Dark Knight where his character carries a lot of angst and is probably the moral centre. It’s a fantastic performance, especially for a superhero film sequel.

But did he really die? Or has he just retired to a quaint Welsh village?

Given how kids turn out today, parents should spend a lot less and just let them play in the woods for free like we did.

And yet this car is MUCH safer than the ‘84 Jetta GLI that I put 200K miles on. And that car was probably “safer” than the ‘89 Ford Escort that I had a 65mph T-bone crash in and walked away with a bruised shoulder. From forcing the door open after the crash. It’s also in another universe from the Triumph Spitfire I

Hmmm. Perhaps I’m too laissez faire, and certainly the actual sensors involved may show a more serious outcome for vehicle occupants, but superficially, those crash tests don’t look nearly as bad as plenty of others I’ve seen. Having lived most of my life driving vehicles *without* side airbags, it’s not as if I

So does his thumb.
