“...does very little for the community.”

I would laugh my ass off if he did a F&F or Transformers movie. He’s one of my favorite directors/writers, but if he decided to just go straight up summer blockbuster bullshit I have such a bad feeling it’d kill everything.

Ouch.

I love that I have not had cable in over 15 years, simply because I had no idea some asshole show called Live PD has ever existed.

Beaufort the town is amazing. I was surprised it actually wasn’t mentioned.

One of my HS class trips was to the Outer Banks. I can’t recall which island, but I had a baseball hat from Duck for years. My best friend and I took a late night walk on the beach, talking with all the late night fishermen and seeing their take (it was crazy...like being in a zoo) and got in serious trouble for it

I’m in the same boat. I’ve never seen a Wes Anderson film on the big screen, but I somehow found myself driving five friends to go see the first Jackass movie. Packed theater, we were stuck in the front row, we laughed our asses off because we were high as fuck, and then I still had the duty of driving us all back in

My sister and brother (10 and 8 years older than me, respectively) made a point of saying how I was spoiled growing up with not only a color TV but also cable. I made a point, at my young age in the ‘80s, of saying that at least you didn’t watch Smokey and the Bandit at least once a week on USA Network. And its two

Aside from a rewatch of Akira, this really makes me want to watch Cowboy Bebop again.

I still love how I was in a Greek mythology phase (I was 7) and when Jeopardy was still daytime, I was watching with my grandmother, and the Final Jeopardy question was Greek related. I really wasn’t paying attention, but I off handedly just said “What are Jason and the Argonauts?” My grandmother laughed, and then the

I don’t get Fielder, I’m glad he has his niche, but that was an amazing video.

How about if we just call it Faux and drop the “News” part. Makes sense to me.

This article is fascinating, but your pics reminds me that I am long overdue to re-watch both The Princess Bride and Willow. I saw both in the cinema when I was a kid, and they have remained staples of my adult life. I grew up pretty religious, and somehow my churches’ Youth Group did a Princess Bride theme party when

The South is racist in ways that the North is differently racist. I grew up in OH, and have worked and lived in PA, WI, NC, GA, DC, MD, and NY. It is interesting to me, and just my opinion and observation, that your racism in the South is now pretty much behind closed doors. Up North, it’s pretty much in your face

I still love that Cloud Atlas was a minor plot point in a Rick & Morty episode.

Jupiter Ascending is my number two “so bad it’s good” movie from the last decade after Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. The Wachowskis made a horrible masterpiece with JA, and just like Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever, it is infinitely re-watchable, simply because of how bad (and good) it is.

I live in upstate NY (think Lake Placid area) and it’s really funny how there is nothing but poverty or rich. I lived on L.I. for a few years and the disparity was even evident there. Folk that say there’s no class structure in the US are just spewing shit out their mouth. I saw it every day walking from Penn Station

Thank you for this. It has literally had me laughing for the last five minutes and am definitely going to be buying a hat with their logo.

Predator is like Highlander where the concept is more beloved than any of the movies.”

Lena Dunham is one of those folk I just don’t understand. I watched her “breakout” movie, a couple episodes of her show, and just...meh. And that’s what she is: Meh.
