I read that and my immediate thought was, Oh, so this is how mature adults have relationships?

I consider Running On Empty to be one of the best coming of ages films ever. The added history of Vietnam protests and such just added so much more for my history-addled brain during the 80's.
I’m very familiar with the WoK origins. But this was a good refresher. It also amazes me that Meyer managed to bring ST back twice, then the third time he was brought in, he put a shovel in the ground with Nemesis.
Liking this not only for the C&H post, but also because red underwear are awesome.
That’s the only thing that’s creeping you out??
It never ceases to amaze me in situations like this, where you have someone who is -clearly- the best candidate, and of course they go with the worst.
“There was a little bit of luck involved too.”
Thanks dad, appreciate the illumination on this pedantic fact.
Ewww...
I clearly need to do more drugs or drink a hell of a lot more, because nothing about this made sense. I don’t know about slappy do or baby shoe or (apparently) you know who (a guy named, and this has to be a made up name), Whitmer Thomas. I mean, seriously?
A History of Violence is such a good film. I also didn’t know it was a graphic novel until years after I watched the movie, and I’m still surprised that Cronenberg didn’t go as dark as the novel did.
I just watched Wrath of Khan (again, for the millionth time) last night, and it still amazes me that they made it for nothing and is, essentially, the best Star Trek film ever, and easily in the top 10 of best sci-fi films in the modern era.
I’ve heard that quote (paraphrase?) before, and it seems to lose some luster for me when comparing Apocalypse Now and the 1991 documentary on its’ filming. It does seem to be not the norm, however. I do like how Coppola essentially got reinspired by the doc to finally do his directors cut of Apocalypse.
Wouldn’t the extended cut of Watchmen beat out Justice League as longest superhero movie? I’m hardly a Snyder apologist, but I actually consider that version to be far superior to the one released in theaters.
I’ll fully redact the “Snyder as asshole” comment. I fully admit that I think that aside from the ending, he did a bang-up job on Watchmen that no one else ever could have done. I love it to death, but, like the original comic, can only watch/read it maybe every other year.
I run a kitchen at a ski resort in upstate NY, and every day I’m literally saying “Go Home You MFers”. Am I happy for the business? Yes.
And are we really better off with the lesser of the Phoenix bros? I’m still convinced that River would have been far above diCaprios’ place at this point.
But did he though??
You should stop talking about the Queen that way. So improper!!
Ruffin is awesome, and that she has her own show (I know it’s been around for a bit) that clearly builds upon her personality is even more awesome. I really hope she doesn’t get cancelled before they are able to do live audiences again, because I’m pretty sure she would bring down the house constantly.
