I would have thought University of Chicago would have been closer to the target, but I see what they did with that line and it still works for me.

It amazes me how much time people have spent on their laptops dissecting this idiocy called a “film” for the last four years. It amazes me that Ray Fisher is a “name”, simply because his feelings got hurt. It amazes me that assholes like Whedon and Snyder still get jobs. It’s really, really amazing that DC thinks they

Ford Maddox Ford. A name I’ve never understood.

Thanks for reminding me I need to pick up all the QI books. Mindless, entertaining fun is so underrated these days.

My fun personal fact about A Shot in the Dark is that when playing Trivial Pursuit as a teen in the early 90's with a bunch of adults (who, like myself, loved the Pink Panther movies), the question came up as “what is the sequel to The Pink Panther?”.

You never hear about bus and streetcar drivers going at it, or orthodontists and periodontists.”

So...

Hadn’t thought about Young Lady Chatterley in decades. And your mention of the bathtub scene reminded me of many late nights in the late 80's to catch Skinemax after the parents were in bed. And that sequel, ugh. No one in their right mind puts Batman in softcore porn.

British panel shows are by far my new favorite thing since January of last year. Still not the biggest fan of 8 out of 10 Cats or Countdown, but Q.I. is easily my go to for constant hilarity. Plus you end up learning something along the way!!

I just did the same thing, read up the synopsis on Wiki and, WOW. I know there is “Disneyfication” of fairy tales and books, but damn, they would have been better off just ignoring the book altogether and just going with something original. I like the 70's-mid 80's Disney because they were bleak at times, but the

It’s always been an interesting to see how Marvel handles their franchise vs. DC. The latter got the superhero movie going again, all the way back in 1989 with the Burton/Keaton Batman, and then squandered it until the first X-Men appeared in 2000. Marvel still had problems (see also: any Hulk film) but they figured

LOL

Always especially true at the AVC. I know I love reading an “F” review, but those “D” and even the even more rare “D-” review are just a boatload of fun. They just didn’t try hard enough to truly go for broke and let it all out.

Any of those “You GOT This!!” ads just make me want to sit back harder and wonder who they are marketing to. I’m a professional chef and I walk and run easily 7-10 miles a day. I honestly never sit down the entire day, and honestly don’t get these ads or even their product.

I find it amazing that Netflix has renewed this for another season. It’s like their version of Skins.

The first car I bought with my own money was a ‘93 two door Jeep Cherokee Sport. Didn’t have that plastic door liner either. 4.0 L, 4WD (I know it wasn’t smart, but I remember cruising across I-70 to Pittsburgh during a snowstorm in ‘99 and had it in 4WD and was doing just fine at 65 MPH). That manual transmission was

Ze Nazis threw my printing press in the river, you cocksucker.

Oh how I miss the AVC of old...

Winter Soldier is the high standard for me in regards to Marvel movies. There is a darkness but also a humanity that resonates for me in it. It’s also perhaps (??? I’m at a loss here) the one MCU movie that essentially has a downer of an ending. The good guys win, but what did they win??

I had to keep checking the byline because I was sure it was I.V. delivering the hits. I’m surprised Dowd didn’t give it an F, but then I realized he knows that an F is too good for this apparent mess of a film. Sometimes a D really is worse than an F.
