Naw, I’m not going to give you hate, just an observation that the condescension tends to go with the medical profession. I have had far more luck with nurses than MD’s with the condescension, and the best luck with NP’s at avoiding it altogether.

Me too! I never hated her and felt like she got a shit deal with the gropey pictures, but I used to giggle at photos of her where her mouth was always open. The more I hear her talk the more I like her. I’m so glad she is done with the Twilight crap.

Another nice thing about at least an occasional “period” when you’re an old is seeing if you still need birth control since menopause happens at a wide variant of ages starting mid-40’s. If the periods stop or get real spotty you can always do the menopause test just as easily as the pregnancy one.

I work with a couple of clients in res care with aphasia and I think you are on to something, except I can usually suss out what my clients are trying to get across.

I’m curious - did it help with the nightmares? A friend of mine suffers from horrible traumatic nightmares and I don’t think she has tried this. Thank you for sharing your experience, and for for the courage of everyone else who has posted on this thread.
