That is the concern I would have about this. They aren’t going to get their daughter back, if that is what they are hoping.

Mother’s do this for live daughters, so it’s not that. My concerns (which don’t effect the legality) are about the child’s emotional well being. Is the child going to be a surrogate for bio mom? How will they handle a child that is completely different from bio mom if that happens? Is there an extended family or…

I don’t think the grandmother carrying the child is THAT weird, in and of itself. I am concerned about WHY she wants to have this child. Is the child going to always feel like a “replacement” for the deceased mom?
