Turning The Hobbit in to three movies was pretty cynical.

My birthday was last week and my friends made me this cake. It seems appropriate to share here, mainly because I think everyone should have a Werner Herzog birthday cake at least once in their life.

I agree, I enjoyed last nights episode far more than the week before.
While I don’t like the shoddy storytelling of the last two seasons, I think yesterday’s episode was vastly better than the one before it. The payoff of Dany’s turn is at least an interesting narrative choice, even if the setup doesn’t earn it.
Martin, meanwhile, laments the foreshadowing and clues layered into early storylines that, when rejiggered, turn into nothing more “dead ends.”
Drogon never had a better day.
