Turning The Hobbit in to three movies was pretty cynical.

I loved the, ugh...Klassic Krusty bits.

Or by hiding a lot of the 30 Rock bits — because honestly, some of them did make me laugh, especially out of context! But denying that context was key, because you could imagine the show as being extremely hacky (as the show often invited you to), or somewhere on the stupid-silly-funny spectrum that made the writers…

My birthday was last week and my friends made me this cake. It seems appropriate to share here, mainly because I think everyone should have a Werner Herzog birthday cake at least once in their life.

AVC: I don’t know if you’ll have an answer for this one, but we’ll try: is there a line from film or television that you’ve incorporated into your personal vocabulary? That you like to quote, or something like that?

I agree, I enjoyed last nights episode far more than the week before. 

While I don’t like the shoddy storytelling of the last two seasons, I think yesterday’s episode was vastly better than the one before it. The payoff of Dany’s turn is at least an interesting narrative choice, even if the setup doesn’t earn it.

Martin, meanwhile, laments the foreshadowing and clues layered into early storylines that, when rejiggered, turn into nothing more “dead ends.”

Drogon never had a better day.

Last week she didn’t have plot armor. This week she does.
