@JabbaB: They made mistakes. Many, many mistakes. Since it was "the art of games" I was forced to go with SotC, but it was hard.

Me too, I'll be getting on Steam although I would much rather have a PSN version...
I disagree wholeheartedly. An online passcode should be put into every game these days. If you don't support the developer, why should they let people play online or update rosters in sports games? Why should they let Gamestop and the used game market continue to eat away at their profits and do nothing about it?
Alienating who? People who give them absolutely no money?
I am amazed that this hasn't happened yet. I feel the same way, I love playing shooters, but rarely do I play online, except for co-ops. I mostly play third person shooters like Uncharted 2 and assassin's creed, co-ops, and Fat Princess online.
I thought it was funny because whenever I encounter two doors in an elevator, I never know which will be the one that opens, bringing the rest of the level and most likely more enemies. It sucks to stand there with your back to the open door and be surprised by a enemy wave before you even know it is open.
Do phones not work from one end of the nation to the other?
plays fine on win xp and win 7 on ie, firefox, and chrome.
It seems that people here believe that this site is only supposed to be about video games, when the writers themselves have stated that it is about just about anything they want that could be deemed otaku related.
Thank you to whomever posts the cross links to other sites. It seems that some readers here do not like them, but I for one thoroughly enjoy reading them.
If mainstream gets me laid, I can do it every now and then.
Knowing when to put down the controller, has gotten me laid... =o)
+1
On that I will disagree with you. The naming of the skill shot system was done in poor taste, and downplays the seriousness of sexual trauma. To me, that is pretty irresponsible.
You keep using my logic to make a point in which I do not agree. Heavy Rain was immaculately done, as are many books, movies, tv shows and games. Heavy Rain captures the emotion of a man going through a situation in which most parents have thought about, the possibility of a child abuction. While it is a situation…
I disagree. Of course the devs didn't know it was going to happen, but the company is being respectful to delay such a game. There will be a time to release this game, but now is most definitely not it.
I think you misunderstood. The hypothetical was not a game solely about the WTC, but included significant destruction of it somewhere in its plot line. It would have been insensitive to release it near 9/11, just as a game where you race around outrunning earthquakes being released right after such major earthquakes…
Bulletstorm is one of the first to come to mind. Using the term "gang bang" to describe a skill shot is irresponsible as a game developer. I know people who have been forced to go through such a traumatic experience, and how do you think they would feel if they were even in the room while someone else was playing that…
How about a hypothetical game that involved the destruction of the World Trade Center being developed before it happened, but due to release right around when it actually did happen?
