Relatively speaking, batteries are great right now, and all indications suggest they’ll only get better and better. There are environmental and socio-economical concerns related to the lithium mining required for these batteries, but I don’t see these arguments presented.
I live in largely Democrat-controlled Illinois (Rauner notwithstanding). Gas is not cheap here when compared to our neighboring states. Our roads suck.
