I’ll never get what sort of reaction they expect from stuff like this.
I get that the game itself might not be a bad idea and might end up making them money, that’s fine. But why announce this during E3?, the big event that is mostly watched by gaming enthusiasts, many of which have strong feelings towards classic

The issue is it isn’t another company, it’s the same company doing what they’re infamous for doing (buying up celebrated companies/ip.s and running them into the ground with poor business mandates).

I think Nintendo learned from Federation Force when they announced Prime 4 BEFORE showing a brand new 3DS Metroid. Judging by how EA is the only company that hasn’t improved their conference in the past 5 years, I doubt they will change any time soon.

Opened that trailer just to immediately downvote it.

The backlash is completely understandable

I like to think that Westwood and Blizzard challenged each other back in the 90's, bringing out the best of both in their RTS games - not to mention other studios bringing out great competition (Total Annihilation, Age of Empires, Empire Earth). And giving fans many, many hours of fun.

EA closed Westwood in 2003, the

To revive C&C not only as a mobile game lacking any of the character or depth that people love about the series, then showing it off on-stage in one of the single most mind-numbingly boring live demos possibly ever......what the actual fuck were they thinking?

Do they honestly think that’s the kind of thing people come

In a conference that was already the dullest EA has ever had, that onstage match they had for this C&C was like hitting a new rock bottom.

Just imagine I photoshopped the C&C screen onto that because it wasn’t worth the effort to actually do it.

The thing is, F2P mobile games don’t really operate in the same way as “regular” games do. Because even if 99% of the players don’t pay a cent for the game, all they really need is one or two “whales” who obsessively spend thousands of dollars on microtransactions and gacha mechanics for the game to be a financial

Been a fan since the original myself, and C&C 4 was the first and only game I payed full price for and then (once I had finished the campaign) took the disc, scrubbed it through my cat litter, and tossed it out the window. Literally. Never have I been more disappointed in a game in my life.

C&C, Ultima, and Wing Commander were some of my favorite game series growing up. My hate for EA runs deep.

I’ve been a fan of C&C since Red Alert in .. 1996.. yikes. EA buying and shutting down Westwood in 2003 let me experience one of the earliest shits that EA likes to take on devs and I’ve never gotten over it. Based on the comments here and reddit it seems like many other C&C fans haven’t either hah

Now they turned C&C into Clash of Clans.

Oh look. A C&C from EA game that’s a complete monstrosity. I put that one down for good with C&C4.

Fuck you too, EA

When it comes to third-party revivals, mobile is always the format I’m expecting, just never the one I want.

US is doin’ ALL IT CAN to drop their life expectancy EVEN LOWER. Like it wasn’t enough that it’s at levels close to under-developed countries...no..it wants to go to 3rd world country levels. Seriously, in between getting shot, opiod crisis, not being insured, high-insurance and so on, there are countries in South and
