My first reaction was “Cool, maybe we can get some uncensored sex-oriented games and start breaking the stigma around these things”.

in case there is any doubt as to where I stand on this—and I may write about it at more length later—I think this whole thing is a TERRIBLE idea
Wow. I don’t actually agree with this. This is Valve, not wanting to take responsibility for the content you can download from their platform. They just don’t want to do that work essentially. If they would take time to at least control some of the quality of some of the games in their platform, it wouldn’t be the…
Tomorrow. At the latest.
Soooo how long before we see “minority purge simulator 2018" or “Hitler was right: The Game”
Cernovich continues to be a dumbass, once again using false equivalences.
So these lowlife 2nd amendment nuts have gone from harassing survivors and parents of slain children, and are now moving onto attempted murder
There’s a special circle of hell reserved for someone who’s trying to get a mass shooting survivor’s home stormed by armed gunmen, I can’t imagine what that would be like for someone who almost certainly is suffering from PTSD.
If it was a true hostage situation, I would imagine that the life expectancy of the hostages would reach zero when constable Krispy Kreme rolled past to do his pre-swat team check. Or the hostage taker would simply shoot the investigating officer.
Wouldn’t it be more likely the police would think that someone had taken him hostage?
As another comment pointed out, police can’t afford to relax response protocol, but I’d like to think they knew going in that this was a hoax call and as such weren’t going in on edge and ready to shoot to kill.
Unfortunately, I don’t think the solution is that easy. How would you verify a hostage situation inside a house without going into said house? Any relaxations to current police protocol for hostage situations would be detrimental to actual hostage situations.
Here’s a hot take. I think it’s even sadder that we are able to, with some degree of confidence, send these bumbling idiots (police) to kill someone on command.
I agree with your sentiment but Mr. Hogg, Ms. Gonzalez, and the rest are most definitely not kids. These are full blown adult leaders and the new face of what it means to be an American. We owe them a huge debt of gratitude and that starts by not condescending to call them kids.
These calls absolutely need to lead to an arrest and charge against the caller. What a waste of police resources.
If you’re so scared a kid is going to topple your second amendment rights, you’re a gigantic fucking coward.
An act likely performed by some human garbage triggered by the fear that school shooting survivor Hogg is a catalyst in taking their guns away.
I think that is a hilarious comparison. The context behind that Bill Maher bit was Trump sending investigators to Hawaii to uncover Obama’s true origins. You see, Obama cannot be American because his skin pigmentation means he must be a Muslim from the planet Kenya. So Bill Maher wanted to see Trump’s birth…
