It’s entirely dependent on how well the Switch does. Handheld gaming is HUGE in Japan. It might be easy to say that the Switch would do well over there too because it’s like a handheld, but we don’t necessarily know why handhelds are so popular. Is it because of the price? Nintendo launched the 3DS at $250 and had to

Well I would disagree there, there’s been a ton of articles about Sun and Moon driving 3DS sales. Either due to Pokémon Go or people just being more interested in Sun and Moon than past games, it’s clear that the success of Sun and Moon wasn’t just due to them selling to people who already had a 3DS

Is it a case of maybe Nintendo not anticipating the demand, from Pokemon Sun/Moon and then from Black Friday sales? Just spitballing

Wait...what? There’s no controller support? And ME Trilogy doesn’t have like all the DLC?

All for that glorious AT-AT shot of Jyn and crew running towards it on the beach.

I kept waiting for that money shot with Jyn and Cassian running the beach which never came.

The 2 shots I was hoping for from the trailers was the ominous shot of Jyn in black garb with a VO of Saw saying “what will you become” (unless that was just more footage from when they’re infiltrating Scarif) and the scene where you see Jyn running on the beach away from AT-AT. That shot looked epic and I could see

And some people in my FC are the exact opposite, skipped all the cutscenes to reach endgame and really enjoy doing the Savage raids and Extreme primals. Not everyone plays for the same reason.

That’s basically it. I LOVE the story but at some point there’s just way too much of it to do, and even if it’s amazing, it’s just not feasible to complete all of it at a good pace.

Not really enticing to new players either. “Oh man I don’t think I can play with my friends, there’s just so much leveling content that I wouldn’t get there for a long time. Oh wait there’s a boost potion like in WoW? Awesome! Oh wait, it’s an extra $40 on top of the game and its expansions I have to buy? That’s like

Got plenty of that already. FFXIV doesn’t do a good job (or any job, really) of teaching people how to play their class

I really wanted to come back for Heavensward — dragoon is my favorite FF job — but when I found out you have to do all the endgame story, dungeon, and raid content that came out in patches after I unsubbed, I decided against it.

If The Witcher 3 was a multiplayer game, where a huge amount of content was only in the DLC, that easily might be a complaint.

I would argue that a single potion, included in the expansion, that lets you get 1 job to cap and clears the MSQ hews more closely to WoW’s simple implementation AND fits FFXIV. That’s great that you have options, but the nuances between those options wouldn’t necessarily be apparent to new players.

I think going deeper into this story would be cool! Like the process of how he knew that was the first print advertisement, why it was so hard to find an issue, etc. I LOVE the stories behind stuff like this

Yep, I’m really surprised they’re not doing it. And the implementation of the potions is a pretty convoluted implementation too compared to the WoW boost, so having a confusing 2 potions and an upfront cost of like $40 might defeat the purpose for new players

I’ve never played DQ before, but after watching that CG trailer...inject that JRPG goodness straight into my veins. That shit looks AMAZING

Yeah lol, I was wondering if the headline was changed or something. “I disagree that....PC gaming was in a state!”

Bowser blowing fire at everyone waiting in line

I think you may have been going a bit too far with the “marginalized” thing and maybe you didn’t explain it too well in the context of the Mei skin...
