No, the Houston thing had the Houston board of regents chairman saying, on November 30, “I would love for Art Briles to be on our super-short list.” That’s not Briles starting a rumor, that’s a higher-up at UH saying that he wants him there.

When you read what Tilman Fertitta was saying about him recently, it definitely was more than just a rumor and then Houston saying no. You had someone at UH publicly expressing interest in Briles

You’re never going to get a head coaching position again

It’s why I put it in quotes. I don’t really mean like “real” gamer or “fake” gamer, but playing FFXI is like the game equivalent of knowing a band’s obscure B-Side single from 20 years ago

You KNOW someone is a “legit” gamer if they play FFXI. I’ve played so many MMOs and love FF, and play FFXIV, but FFXI still seems way too hardcore for me.

Well, 3DS has Senran Kagura so it’s not out of the question

Basically. I have zero doubts that he’s actually excited, but I’m sure with all the rehearsals and having to think about PR and stuff, I wouldn’t be surprised if he already knew the Switch was there so while he may actually be super psyched he has to fake that he’s surprised.

Bill Trinen. I don’t think he’s a personal translator (I think he’s a Senior member at NoA) but he does do a lot of Miyamoto translation.

The undocked gameplay looks a LOT smoother than I thought it would. I was pretty hyped from the reveal trailer but I feel like that’s way more prone to BS, but seeing it actually demoed live in person? It really does look like it works really well

Yeah, that’s 6 shows. I dunno if I could name 6 current shows all on a single network that I watch. I guess maybe HBO, but that’s like 5 shows and me listing out 5 shows from a network is usually a reason WHY I’d go for that network.

Kingsglaive explains some things but definitely not most of the stuff that’s missing in the 2nd half. It mostly just explains the start of the game

The only thing this game really does well is scale. Honest to god I think 13 is better.

Definitely not. I don’t know how long these patches are going to take but he’s talking about recording new voice acting and localizing stuff, that’s not short term. I’d just finish the game.

I typically use “plot hole” to mean when there’s inconsistencies and something doesn’t make sense. In this case, I don’t think it’s a plot hole of that nature, it’s just straight up story that’s missing. Which I guess is a literal plot hole.

Depending on how extensive the story fixes are, I’m not quite so positive. A lot of people feel they got a game that was lacking in story, and that’s not great in an FF game. Sure, it’s great they’re willing to fix it, but it’s not exactly a positive that we bought a flawed game at launch just to be able to get fixes

Had 0 issues with difficulty, it’s just way too long and boring. At some point I was like “More key cards?! I have to get MORE security clearances? Jesus.” And honestly using just the ring for a chunk of time was boring (not difficult at all, just boring). It was a little bit better once you get the sword, but still.

That’s 100% not it. I’m comparing FFXV to other FF games and other JRPGs and THAT’s why I find it lacking. I just finished playing FF Tactics and that story is overall more confusing and more complex than FFXV but is told better than FFXV.

Think it depends on how the new fares are priced. But even then I’m not quite sure why they landed on THIS as what they would start charging for.

Combat is significantly different and way better in the final release
