Completely not insensitive at all (though besides like Heroes, a lot of those rebooted shows are kind of before I was a serious TV watcher so I have no emotional attachment to any of these)

Exactly, that idea is dumb. I mean, I’ll disprove it right now and say I pirated a game that I bought, and went back and returned it. Absolutely a lost sale right there. I highly doubt I’m the only one who’s literally ever had money to buy a game and pirated it.

I really fucking miss Fantasy RTS.

It makes sense since that’s how console games do it but it’s still kinda funny to see

Absolutely the chicken fries. Just discovered the chalupa and it’s bomb but the Quesalupa is so meh

I was almost one of those people, then I realized “fuck I’m being dumb, I just need to stop reading Morning Spoilers if I don’t want to be spoiled.”

Well, first off it was just a stinger on the Anniversary Direct. I’d wager that something like this would’ve happened even if there was no game announcement, just to like commemorate the anniversary and talk about the RBY games on the 3DS. Second, I don’t even know when there’d be another normal Direct, I don’t see

I definitely would not say “most reports” at all. We still don’t know what the NX is, or when it’s coming out. In fact, reports have been the opposite, with Nintendo specifically saying there are major 3DS titles into like March of 2017 (of course, that could easily be marketing speak and the titles aren’t all that

I’m not saying that people can’t have problems AND buy it, but to generalize and just say “people” as if it’s basically everyone with that opinion is foolish. There’s nothing at all to indicate that that is a majority opinion.

New generation of Pokemon games? Yeah I’d say so

Wait what?

More trucks to find Mew under

Right, but neither Kotaku nor I ever claimed that you can’t have that opinion. You made a claim and I pointed out that my opinion was different: I won’t remember the leak, I’ll remember the announcement.

Literally everyone else did it. Serebii did it, IGN did it, Polygon did it, Bulbapedia did it.

The titles are almost annual, and you could argue the dual-versions is also pretty cash-grabby

It’s literally nothing like that

He rekt himself I guess haha

Right, I don’t disagree with that, but the question then is: does that ruin the announcement such that now I only remember that it was leaked on Kotaku? Definitely not. If there’s a bunch of new stuff in the announcement trailer then that’s what I’ll remember, not that I woke up and saw the leak on Reddit the day

For a frame of reference, Pokemon fans that read Kotaku will not remember whatever fancy announcement N has in store, but instead scrolling past a stubby article and a image leak.

Well then you probably shouldn’t be buying most games that come to the West from Japan
