Not a Piers fan, but I also dislike Jezza on TopGear as the a$$hole of TG. I always hoped it was just a scripted character he was playing on TG, but seems he is that character. ;-(

sub-zero temps means the snow and ice are very cold and resistant to liquification. At temps near 30F wet ice and snow is very common. Wet ice is pretty much the standard zero-friction; slippery beyond anything else.

Newton would have treated his cat much better than Schrodinger! Schrodinger put his cat in a box with a bottle of poison and then couldn't decide if his cat was alive or dead. Poor kitty couldn't even escape.
