Porsche has proved that people will pay more for less for years.

Yes.

Except this is billed as the ultimate factory street-legal drag racer, so a manual makes no sense anyway. Manuals suck for drag racing, they’re just more fun.

But...but...but...this is Jalopnik. Isn’t the correct response to ask how many used Miatas you can buy with the refund?

Now playing

I recently discovered it and it is wonderful and a breath of fresh air from the usual car shows. Really, Mr. Torchinsky nails it. Mr China will sit down on the show and go over step by step what is needed to fix a particular piece of a car. This clip is a great example of his work: how to replace the drive motor on an

Goddammit.

South Carolina is like the wild west for cars that should not be on the road. Too many disabled vehicles on the side of the road for a 20 minute commute

Dangerous as in they lose a wheel on the highway, bald tires, bad brakes, collapsed suspension, everything that can lead to avoidable situations were people will get hurt due to negligence (lack of funds included).

After living in South Carolina for the past 5 years, I have to admit, I agree. Being from VA, I hated inspections.. paying for them and risking the violation if I was a single day late. I was excited to move to SC where I was free to modify as desired with no stupid required sticker on my windshield and associated

I used to think that the state inspection was a complete racket (I’m sure it still is, depending on the shop). I moved from California (no inspection) to Baltimore/DC in ‘04. State inspections were the norm in the mid-atlantic and as a broke college kid it was often cost prohibitive to buy anything older. After moving

I would say that you are looking at this the wrong way. If you own a car you should be able to afford to keep it in safe condition. If that means doing the hard work yourself or paying a shop to do it, it doesn’t matter. It is all part of owning a car.

My state doesn’t have any inspection and the other day I came across someone whose brake lights didn’t work. At all. The person was at least considerate enough to stick their arm out the window and signal, but damn.

So don’t require the inspection and let the poor just all get killed by automotive malfunctions. Then bam, no more poor people! problem solved

I don’t understand why teens

Oh yeah, I think the word your searching for is entitlement. That, and parents that are enablers of it.

but to be fair, any of us millenials reading this here likely either bought, or are debating the benefits of a number of various-aged rwd stick shifts, or ford ‘st’ products, which goes against the grain of the majority of anything mercedes had to sell in the last 5 years.

Grow up: Stop spending money on low-quality status symbols to impress people you don’t know or like, and buy a fucking Honda/Toyota like a normal person.

Poorly modified cars suck. Correctly modified cars can be SO much better than stock. The issue is that to properly modify a car you have to spend quite a bit more money than to do it the crappy way.

Really both are great games and GT did start it, but here recently Forza has been killing it with their Motorsport and Horizon games.

Even french houses flee from the battlefield.
