The incentive for a 1:1 “bio” replacement for gas (or diesel) is certainly there and that incentive goes way beyond rich gearheads who want to drive their ICE sports cars.

I’ll need to see one in person but it seems like their design philosophy was “make a CX5 that won’t look weird if someone puts chunky all terrains on it”

I’ve recently gotten into off roading (in my GX with a roofrack, I’m so unique!). Sarcasm aside, I’ve been informed that I am very good at picking my lines/wheel placement on the trails and its because I basically drive trails the same way I had to drive my lowered Fiesta ST through DC...

The CX5 look fantastic but I assume Mazda has consumer research that shows they’re missing out on customers who are going to the Bronco Sport, various Subarus, Rav4, etc because the CX5 doesn’t look “rugged” enough.

I have similar thoughts. I’m totally fine with properly done spread/bloom because A) it’s actually more realistic and B) it’s another attribute that can be used for gun balance (see various COD Warzone laser beam guns)

Miata drivers being extremely interested in the company of their own gender...

They know what they’re doing. That’s why they recognized they were actually stuck and not just bogged down. That’s why they activated their emergency beacon early so they could be located and resupplied before a dire emergency.

Target market for Acura isn’t boy racers. That’s what the Si and Type R are for.

Calling them 4 seat coupes is being pretty generous but people who buy a BRZ over an Integra or GTI or Mazda3 (or anything else) aren’t making that decision because of the number of doors.

The Integra was a nicer Civic back in the day too. The internet seems mad that its not a coupe despite nobody buying coupes anymore.

AWD doesn’t increase the amount of grip available via the tires. A good AWD/4wd system does offer more ways of using the available grip. If you aren’t using dedicated snow tires or 3peak rated tires, AWD isn’t going to help much. If you think AWD lets you turn and stop in the snow as well as it lets you accelerate,

A good set of snow tires is better than AWD with inadequate tires. A good 4wd/AWD system with proper tires is a game changer.

Not crashing is always better than crashing. Also, crashing your big old truck into a new car is bad for the car but that doesn’t stop all the weight of the old truck from crumpling back into the passenger compartment as it flips over.

Snow/Ice can get a little weird still but the extra steering control (and traction control) offered by ABS is better than just sliding straight forward.

In the real world of every day driving, you aren’t trying to gain .04 seconds through the turn on your opponent, you are driving around like a normal person who isn’t going to think of threshold braking when a neighborhood kid darts in front your 2 ton SUV.

Big automatically means safe

The smart corrective action here would be offering to make a different drink on the house (of equal or lesser value). You don’t get free stuff *just* because you didn’t like what you ordered. However, the bartender gave away that they’re still tweaking/developing things and this drink isn’t it.
