It was a perfectly cromulent statement.

Say what you will about Cameron Esposito's place at the A.V. Club, but she hardly strikes me as "nutty".
This particular article isn't too bad (although I'm not sure whether to be upset or refreshed by how nakedly click-baity the title is), but it's really been a death of a thousand cuts as far as this site's concerned, and I guess this was just the piece that finally did it for me.
I think I'm done with the A.V. Club for a while (exceptions being made for this page and the Doctor Who reviews)
Wasn't this published a couple of years ago? And if so, why are sites paying attention to this piece of pseudo-academic diarrhea now?

A nuanced view of intra-class relations? Don't you know where you are boy?!
Oh, fuck that shit.
"…the sidewalks are constantly jammed."
The A.V. Club
It seemed like the first episode that wasn't trying to sell the audience on the New Doctor, and just focused on telling a damn good story.
Plus, Capaldi continues to act the hell out of the role. If he keeps it up he'll definitely be in the running for my favorite Doctor.
I fail to see how this is a good idea in theory.
1724.12 for me. In practice I'm going to round up, just to be safe.
Eh, better this than a picture of clowns fucking.
Goddamit, I love you @Reposted a7x Fan.
That it happened at all is bad enough, but the fact that it happened to a Peanuts special of all things is like receiving a swift kick in the soul.
Could be. Fortunately there are plenty of great directors who aren't Lynch.
I don't know, I feel like most of the time Lynch just uses whatever imagery he genuinely believes will convey whatever he is trying to get across. Even in a more overtly surreal film like Eraserhead, much of the bizarre imagery seems related to a concrete theme, in this case Henry's discomfort with becoming a father.…
So far I've seen Mulholland Dr., Blue Velvet, and Eraserhead*. What Lynch film should I watch next? I'm leaning toward Fire Walk with Me at the moment, but that could change.
