Jake was absolutely robbed of an Oscar.
I knew I recognized that guy from somewhere. A tragically underrated film in my opinion. Gyllenhall’s performance was absolutely superb (and creepy as fuck).
yeah, I enjoy the Swet Shop Boys stuff
The new Swet Shop Boys is straight fire, wise up Giri:
There isn’t an Olympic athlete alive who is better at their sport than I am at sitting around getting no work done all day.
I’m not claiming that Ledecky is doping, I’m saying that people who assume she is completely clean but question Hosszu are obviously showing bias.
You’re the same genius who just said “Yes, they all do”. Call me crazy but I do tend to think technique and training techniques evolve over time. Body types include this, people across various sports train their bodies to the limit. Her body sure as hell didn’t look any different than any of the swimmers in the pool.…
Ehh, I don’t totally agree. Hosszu’s improvement is definitely extraordinary, especially because of the fact that it’s come as she’s gotten older. (She’s 27, and while it’s more common to see swimmers her age and older now, there is not always the same level of improvement that we’ve seen with her.)
She hasn’t done “absolutely nothing” she’s consistently got to finals and improved steadily over the past 3 years. She hasn’t come out of no where, she isn’t an unknown quantity, she is an athlete who made a coaching change and began to reep the benefits. One of the things that has been said by at least one pundit who…
Kind of exciting to see a role reversal and have Trout catch a Mariner.
Well, that about wraps up the case, then! Good work, detective!
It’s very interesting the difference in tone in reporting on Ledecky and Hosszu is startling. Hosszu has been steadily improving in the past few years but put it all together now but the first implication when she broke the record was doping. Ledecky has taken massive chunks off a record and it’s a narrative of…
You’re implying that she’s doping... how about you show some proof?
Come on, man. Give credit to both guys. Del Potro beat Djokovic in the Olympics before, is good, and Djokovic lost recently. And he’s too good to throw one.
IIRC Venus has been suffering from a pretty bad virus, which defintely did not help, but to quote one of our greatest orators, it doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning’s winning.
“Do you believe in surprising outcomes or occurrences? YES!”
Is this one of those, “Oh she isn’t American so she must be cheating” things?
Should’ve gone to Rio man, I hear it’s cool there.
Yet when I celebrate my ridiculous record breaking BM in an Olympic swimming pool I’m asked to leave.
