The problem was with Sullivan trying to find a reason to reinsert Fleury into the lineup. He was viewing Murray as the hot backup instead of THE guy.

This is one of the classic goalie issues that come up in the NHL but its still surprsing to me that the Pens gave MAF another big contract instead of trying to find a way to leverage him into cheaper goaltending. Now, with a NMC (which means he likely wont be able to be exposed to an expansion draft) and a limited

Myself and every other Penguins fan I have seen on another forum was aghast at Sully’s switch to MAF for game 5. While it seemed like the sensible move on paper after game 4, it was anything but. The Pens suffered a total defensive breakdown in game 4 over the first two periods, and their offense didn’t seem to

This isn’t soccer, the offsides rule in hockey is pretty much black and white. If Doruin was offsides, it’s not a legal goal as the play should have been blown dead.

I was entirely wrong when I wrote after Game 5 that the switch to Marc-Andre Fleury was irrevocable.

While I agree completely that this is entertainment and players shouldn’t be suspended for trivial things like maybe, sort-of, kicking someone in the balls. The flagrant 2 and fine are appropriate.

WHHIIIIRRRRRRRRRRR WHIRRRRR WHIRRR

Watching a game in a vacuum? Now, that would be idiotic.

Wow, you think that is an upper cut?

But it’s completely fair to allow a guy to kick an opponent in the nuts (repeatedly) without consequence? Yes, he got fined 25K but he made about 15 million this last year (less than 1 percent of his salary). Fair is suspending a guy for trying to cause bodily harm his opponent.

They really need to do something about the size of that font.

If this starts the heel turn, you haven’t been paying attention to the thousands of moving screens that freed up Steph and Klay all season long.

Now playing

Except Amare, a superstar at the time, was suspended for a crucial game 5 in the 2008 playoffs for taking a step towards the court after this cheap shot. The NBA officiating and league discipline office has always been garbage.

Right, but when you are paying the woman to do it, technically it is business.

I was somewhat astonished how everyone seemed to think this was a “clean” block. Every single angle shows Biz hitting Lebron’s left arm prior to connecting to the ball (not to mention the body contact). Great play by Biz (he’s been huge), but let’s call fouls equally (ie Steph or any guard for that matter would’ve

I hope Adams gets kicked in the dick again and retaliates by rugbying Green’s ass to the ground then grabbing his ankle and snapping it. Then he points to the camera and says, “If you had suspended him, this wouldn’t have happened!” And spits on the ref as he walks out.

I just disagree completely with an unfair product being a better product.

I watch basketball to watch basketball. If the rules aren’t followed, then it becomes pointless. If kicking a guy in the crotch isn’t worthy of a game off, then the product takes another hit. I don’t mind hard fouls.

The attempt at a level

I’m all for Green playing. I also think the league should turn a blind eye when Adams sets a pick on Green reminiscent of the one Garnett put on Zaza Pachulia a few years back. Win-win.

It’s just business

At least Giancarlo Stanton has gone on strike until conditions improve.
