It can be both. There shouldn’t be consequences for students who want to march in solidarity (doesn’t have to be ‘protest’ to be civil action) but the conviction and “hero” b.s. only comes in the face of consequences. Regardless, a general “hell yea” to all the students who participated in the action today.
