It bears repeating for all the numbskulls who turn on their Tesla’s Autopilot and then proceed to read books, watch movies, and take naps.

Head on vs. small overlap? Semantics won’t matter when you’re dead.

Just because the employer has a legal right to do something doesn’t mean that it’s moral or ethical for them to exercise that right.

If that’s how you think employment actually works, then wow: I wonder how much you let people trample all over you.

If your employer told you to become vegan, but you refused and were subsequently fired, would you defend the employer’s right to do that?

You’re stating this as though it's a *bad thing*... personally this makes me like the design more than anything that's come since the EJ and EKs.

Because sometimes - in fact, most of the time - it has little to do with people not understanding how finances and loan rates work and very much to do with unfortunate circumstances that you couldn’t possibly predict and may not have enough resources to overcome.

Let’s turn that around: do you believe in any level of corporate responsibility? At what point do companies need to show responsibility to their customers and the communities in which they do business, rather than sole responsibility to chasing short term profits and dividends for shareholders? We use very, very, very

Because the wealthiest sectors of society continue to make billions off the backs of everyone else, while constantly saying “well you should have known better.”

That’s assuming those with bad credit are able to shop around. If you’re poor, your choices become limited real quick. If they don’t have a functioning vehicle, how are they supposed to shop around?

You are correct, lenders are not holding a gun to their head saying they have to take these rates. BUT, we live in a country where we have outsourced our transit to the private sector in most places, so if you want a job, you need a car. If you want to get your kids to school, you need a car. If you want to basically

Because the wealthiest sectors of society continue to make billions off the backs of everyone else, while constantly saying “well you should have known better.” It’s not sustainable, and when it falls apart, it’s going to hurt everyone.

At some point we need to stop expecting consumers to become experts in any field they want to do business in, and start expecting companies to act ethically and in good faith.

Wrong. People need to learn to zipper merge. Merging takes place at the front of the line. Merging as soon as you get the dotted line is what creates all the headache.

You are part of the problem. It is a simple physics problem. SQFT of pavement vs SQFT of vehicles. The more you reduce the pavement the longer you make the lane reduction and that spills backwards.

Now playing

That’s actually what you are supposed to do though. The DOT in my area actually installed signs right at the end of the lanes saying “Merge Here.”

No, that actually isn’t bad advice. Its called a zipper merge and (if done properly) it is faster than getting in as soon as you see a lane closed sign.

ROFL - this has happened to my Tesla-owning friends (they have had two S’s , a 3 and a Y) a couple of times, though at home. Tesla’s solution is to literally “rip the thing off the car and we will send a dude out to fix it”.

Is that irony I am smelling or just not sure how chargers work.

The J1172 (you know, the standard plug that every North American EV uses except Teslas) has a little manual lever you push with your thumb to release it and a dedicated low-voltage pin to cut the high-voltage feed when a disconnect is detected. It’s simple and it works. It may not be “cool,” but it also can’t hold me
