Yes, the inevitable collision is on the catcher, he is obstructing the basepath and that is against the rules. However, just because the catcher causes the collision doesn’t mean the runner gets a free pass to try and take his head off, there is a rule to punish the catcher in this scenario so there was absolutely no

Personally it looked like the runner was going to mow down the catcher no matter what.  If what you content is true he would not have had time to get that shoulder ready to plow him over and the collision while still one sided would not have been as violent for the catcher.  Just my opinion based on a bunch of really

I was a sprinter. You can deviate a foot to either side without losing a ton of speed, especially at the distance they are apart. He’s staring down the catcher the whole way. He wanted to lay the guy out.

This has to be malicious contact (HS rule) and an ejection on the runner. Apparently the defensive team’s head coach didn’t even come out to argue.

The catcher was looking for the ball, I’m assuming the throw was off to the left so he naturally drifted into the basepath while tracking the ball.

I bet these guys are also salty about people not dressing up for air travel anymore.

Putin: Mr President, here is an official World Cup football.
Trump: Football? Football? I’m not idiot, this isn’t a football. A football is a different shape, whaddaycallit? Crosswise? That must be it, because it’s in my mind and I’m really smart. The smartest. My Geography teacher told me I knew my shapes better than

Who needs a Kentucky Colonelcy when you can be an Admiral in the Space Force.

No, but he also didn’t need a wagon to carry his leg around in. Ellington, though, did have his best scoring year last season and is a career 38 percent three-point shooter. That’s a skill that will get you paid; coming off a wrecked hip won’t.

Okay that works too. I meant implode more in the clubhouse sense. Doubt the atmosphere is too good in there and it is all Matheny and Mozeliak’s fault.

Well, Norris has earned a lot of veteran credibility by being shitty for six different teams.

“Man, it had some teeth not that long ago.”

And after the man was dipped in a vat of hot tar, before being feathered, he thought to himself “Dipping sauces....”

I like people that didn’t pick up a ball off the ground and dunk it into their beer.

Haven’t interacted with many hockey players, have you? It’s all the same shit, plus this psycho masculinity stuff about how tough they are.

I’m not better. And I do understand thrill-seeking. I’ve done exciting-y stuff before. I’ve just decided it’s ultimately not for me. If someone else decides the opposite, god bless, but you know what you’re getting into and I don’t know that I like the idea of promoting it without acknowledging the clear downsides.

I did say that. I just didn’t spell it out slowly and patiently for the kids who don’t get big words.

Hm. I wonder why Harper is more ‘marketable’ than Machado? I can’t white put my finger on it.

Yet he is probably going to get more money than Manny. It makes no sense.

Manny Machado is grateful that Bryce has been kind enough to allow him to enter free agency as the only true top-tier talent.
